Sam the lovely lady who run the pub\hotel was exceptional. She was very warm and welcoming. She went out of her way to make our stay most comfortable especially due to me being unwell on arrival. She took me to our room and said if I needed anything to let her know.even meals in my room. She was very caring and certainly added a personal touch which made all the difference to our stay. She was also very friendly as was her daughter Brooke and made conversation with us and enquired to my wellbeing whenever she could. They are truly an asset to the business and I would not hesitate to stay with them again.

We loved the quiet location and the very comfy bed - slept so well. The breakfast was faultless and the pub opposite was a real bonus for the evening meal. It was lovely and clean and Peter is a great host.

This guest house is outstanding, from high standard and exquisite decor to the amazing breakfast. The owner couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Everywhere was exceptionally clean. You couldn't get a better location right in the centre of Ulverston but tucked down a side road so really quiet and a car park right outsite. However there is a cheaper car park just up the hill (road) if you dont mind a short walk

Clean, everything was ready for the family, full set of kitchenware, elegant tasteful interior with nice decor elements and overall we felt like home there. Great location, very close to the City centre but quiet, parking is nearby, not so expensive.

Nice place near the centre of Ulverston. Great location, decent sized rooms, very clean and well-equipped (no dishwasher or washing machine but that didn't worry me), huge comfortable bed, nice and quiet despite central location. Helpful host who was fine with me arriving a little early. Tea and coffee provided.

Great location in town centre but in a quiet street. Pub a couple of minutes walk away. Ample parking at the time of our visit. Very well equipped flat in terms of furniture, crockery, cooking utensils, glassware etc. On leaving we met the charming ladies who clean the flat and they take pride in providing basic requirements (tea, coffee, milk, condiments etc) so that guests don't have to rush straight out to the shop on arrival.

Tremendous place to stay. So full of character. We were up in the loft but had a bedroom, large bathroom AND separate living room. Sam was a great host, couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was superb with a wide choice of fresh fruits cereals yogurts in addition to cooked options. My full Cumbrian was terrific. Beautiful gardens with stunning views. Will hopefully be back again next year and would recommend heartily to any travellers heading to that neck of the woods
