The owner (Ric) was very kind and helpful. Beautiful house, lovely rooms, very clean, felt safe, and instructions were very easy to follow. Mimi (the cat) is very gentle and sweet. She only has access to the kitchen and outside, unless you let her in to the rest of the house. Naturally, we loved her so we let her roam freely through the house (when there were no other guests around) and she even spent one of the nights with us! Honestly such a great stay and would so easily recommend and go back. For breakfast, you're a 3 minute walk from Proof Social Bakehouse (pricey but AMAZING pastries, check opening times on google maps), and 5 minutes to the bus stop to go to Abingdon or Oxford (about 15mins to get to either). We expected that the hotel would be quite noisy, especially as we had a room beside the beer garden and close to the road. However this was never an issue. We also thought the hotel may have been a bit far from the High street, but it was an easy walk to all the tourist attractions. And to stroll along the river was quite idyllic.

Great place to stay in Oxford. Room and bathroom were squeaky clean, beds were comfortable. Our room was right next to reception, but it was very quiet. Breakfast is continental, simple but delicious - if it's not included in your rate, you need to book it in advance. Staff was very helpful and late arrival and self-check-in - easy. Communication with the property was great. It's outside the old town, but fairly close - we walked everywhere. We'd happily stay at Sportsview Guesthouse again.
