Nick offered a peasant experience in every way: shuttle to and from the late ferry, tasty breakfasts, a comfortable quiet room, lovely chats. He even let us use the charming guest area to give us a place to be/keep our luggage in the long wait between check out and ferry. So lovely to be regaled on the last day by Nicky's wife and son. Ba' is life! Our only regret was that we had booked tours before knowing that he offers guiding services!

Karrawa is a lovely home with a very comfortable guest room and an exquisitely appointed en-suite. Everything was so clean and Fyona was quite friendly snd welcoming. Our cooked breakfast was delicious. I wish we had been able to spend more time there.

The guesthouse is in a great location, near the town, near the shops and on the main bus route of the Mainland. Our room was lovely, a twin room and each person had their separate wardrobe and cupboard; the new bedding and towels were great as well. The hosts, Lorraine and John, couldn't have been more helpful. The communal kitchen and dining area had everything you could need, and it was a great place to meet people and exchange info about the islands and what interesting things were going on. We would thoroughly recommend staying at Polrudden.

The location was good. The food was excellent. The rooms were comfortable. There was a lounge with games, sofas, and a large TV, but we were too busy to take advantage of it. Eric, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. He got us everything we asked for. The water was very soft, so only a small amount of soap or shampoo was needed. It didn't feel like we were intruding in someone's home. It felt more like a mini hotel with a fair amount of privacy for coming and going. Also, we had a ground floor room where we didn't have to drag suitcases up, which is hard being older adults. The stay was very enjoyable.

The location, the room, the shower, the bath tub (with TV!)... there is nothing to complain about. I don't know, what else you could wish for. Though no breakfast is included, plenty of options are provided for you so you can make up a little breakfast for yourself.
