Not sure what all the hate is. Room was clean.. and comfortable. It's a budget place but still had a kettle, tea and coffee with toiletries. Not sure what more you can ask for.

The building was definitely nice and it has a warm atmosphere. Rooms are very spacious, although it is unusual for English hotels' rooms. Staff very welcoming.

Greeted with the smell of Sunday roast, had travelled from Dorset so had not really eaten, was shown to a gorgeous room, coffee machine, fridge with milk, yogurts fruit, bottles of water and orange juice, plus in the morning there is a basket of cereals,miniature croissants with jams and honey brought outside of my room,dinner was roast pork and veg, gravy and apple sauce, I am sorry Mum, but this was the most tenderest pork and best roast dinner of my life! The glass of Malbec wine I had was gorgeous and so was the brandy on the rocks I took to bed with me, thoroughly recommend here, what charming hosts and locals. 🦋

Everything was wonderful - the hotel itself, the location, the staff, so friendly, courteous, efficient, helpful. A wonderful vibe as soon as you walk in - we came in by way of the pub, but there is a different entrance too. Amazingly quiet at night, didn't hear anything. A real neighbourhood, in Wimbledon Village, across from Wimbledon Common, about 12 minutes walk downhill to the tube station, or a short bus ride. Fabulous place. Lots of television stations, a bathtub.
