The breakfast was absolutely outstanding: the cooked food was clearly made with high quality produce, the poached eggs were an absolute highlight and a genuine pleasure. We also got dinner one night that was great, and were allowed to bring in takeaway another night (with plates and cutlery graciously provided by the hosts) - Byrdir House's pie dinner was far better than the takeaway, so I'd recommend that. The location is great, close to the close but slightly away from the main tourist stretch. Harlech is a beautiful place for a getaway and even without a car we could visit the beach (be prepared for some uphill walking and sand dunes). The room was very clean, with coffee/ tea provided as well as some biscuits, which were a special treat. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and my mom and I made use of the common room/ bar on a few occasions to play some games, research local walks and enjoy some of the local beers and ciders. Adam was a fountain of knowledge and great conversation partner, with versatile interests and expertise. Tracy was an outstanding hostess with great attention to detail and a sunny demeanour, we were thrilled to have met both of them! My mom and I usually travel on a budget and this was as far as we could stretch it, but it was absolutely worth it for the amazing hospitality, food, location and, most of all, Adam's advice to check out the local viewpoint to watch the sunset! We'll be back :-)

Very friendly owner. Very good full English breakfast. Lovely china on the tables and views of surrounding countryside. The owner and a guest directed us to the nearest place to eat which was a pub about two miles north. Good food there. We were sent to sleep by gentle noises of sheep.

Friendly staff and two friendly huskies/hosts greeted us every morning and evening. The breakfast was lovely and having guests around with other dogs was great. Its only a stones throw away from Harlech castle and the beach aswell.

Right off the main road. Lovely play area for kids. Breakfast was outstanding. We actually had dinner and would highly recommend. Our room provided a good night of sleep both evenings.

Very comfortable and clean. Big room with fridge and microwave. Location great for going around snowdonia, Portmerion, Anglessy, Conwy... Staff very friendly and efficient. Excellent breakfast. Fantastic stay.
