Heartfelt welcome by the wonderful host, Alison. We arrived on a Sunday evening, so, to find a place that still served dinner turned out to be quite complicated but Alison personally phoned near-by restaurants for us and also gave some good advice where to go when everybody near-by was just about to stop serving due to the later hour. Thanks again, Alison, for that and also for preparing the double room just in case :-) Full Scottish breakfast was served the next morning but tweaked to your liking via a questionnaire done the night before. Room was clean and all basics in the bathroom were being provided, also tea/coffee and sweets in the room. Inn still undergoes renovations, so work in progress but no issue whatsoever with that. Plenty of free on-street parking.

Breakfast was excellent, we all had plenty to sustain us through the day. Beds were comfy and rooms were clean. Dave was helpful with suggestions of where to get other meals and the guest house was quiet and clean. I see others complain about the water pressure of the showers (I've actually seen worse in big hotels), but when you've not had a working shower at home for over 12 months due to renovation's, any shower is better than none. Perspective is everything ;-)

Everything is super clean, modern and well decorated. The building itself has lots of character. The kitchen is well resourced, bed very comfortable and bathroom super clean although it has the smallest sink I’ve ever seen! The sofa is extremely comfortable and the tv has all the digital channels available. WiFi is also very good. The host Damian was very helpful. Definitely a 5 star stay.
