The accommodation was in a quiet area. The food served was classic German food. Really good food and breakfast. Breakfast normally starts at 08:00 but the staff fixed breakfast for us at 06:30.

We stayed for one night on our trip from Berlin to Austria. We were not aware of the beautiful mountain and forest area that was awaiting us. Heide Machold's place is a nice family guest house with simple but comfortable rooms and VERY good beds. Breakfast is served in the adjacent restaurant (which is very well patronised also by local people). In the morning, the host gave us some hints for a short hiking tour of the most amazing rock formations and a terrific view over the entire region. It's a place really worthwhile visiting.
