Authentic experience, this is a truly family run B&B with a lot of detail and love put in. The food was good, the people better and I will be back as the access to the Mountain ranges, hiking routes and biking trails is all outside the door.

The house is situated on a lovely sunny hillside. The location is excellent due to the proximity of hiking routes. Breakfast was perfect; bread rolls, boiled eggs, yogurt, ham, and cheese, which you'll eat at a shared table with other hikers/guests. A public car parking place is nearby. There's a great bio restaurant within walking distance.

the Pension Rauschenstein is located in a historical building in the quiet part of Schmilka, a suburb of Bad Schandau. The village features a bakery, brewery and a water mill in the neighborhood.

The room itself wasn't fancy, but the location and the adjacent facilities such as sauna were awesome. A nice nature park nearby. Such a lovely place.

It's in Hřensko, the Czech size of the Bad Schandau area, and you can get there by taking the S-Bahn train to Schoena (the German side), then cross the river by ferry. Location-wise it's in the middle of all hiking routes and landmarks, so I'd highly suggest people stay in this hostel instead of the core Bad Schandau area. The guy who welcomed us was very nice, recommending us a few restaurants we could go to in the town. Breakfast was classic European style, and the scrambled eggs were so creamy! We got a room with a balcony facing the Elbe River, the beds are comfy, perfect for a short stay! They have plenty of space for parking if you drive.
