Chata Zakouti is a gem that brings the true old school tourism atmosphere and attracts hikers and bikers who look for nature. The stuff is wonderful, extremely polite and helpful, food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Rooms are modest but allow good sleep. Common bathrooms are clean and sufficient in number. I would definitely come back.

Amazing place! Welcoming hosts, cheap food and drinks, good WiFi. Showers a bit small. We stayed 3 nights, English was a bit difficult but they made it work. We had dinners and breakfast every day, so great to be pampered. They also advised us on a great hike. Park the car, take a bus up the hill and walk back to the car through the Elbe Valley, around 17KM. The hotel is located a bit further away from towns but everything you need is right there. While we were there they did a sausage roast night, lovely that they did this and great to have some interaction with other guests as well.
