The space is clean and even though the set up is fairly basic. We felt at home and comfortable. The location is close to the beach and the town and the price unbeatable!

Best sunset on the beach! The Fenix was just purchased by the new owners and they were starting some renos but our stay was really enjoyable even with the little bit of construction going on. The rooms are a good size and have small kitchens which is great. The location is awesome and you can walk to beach restaurants and the downtown area. There is also fresh fish and a small store right behind the Fenix. The outside sitting area is fantastic....so comfortable and the sunsets are absolutely awesome. New owners mentioned they were thinking of some upgrades including A/C which would be great too. We plan on going back for sure (and bringing wine....inside joke with new owners!)

This was the sleeper hit of our two-week holiday in Costa Rica. We had not intended to even visit Playa Carillo but we messed up our dates and had to book a last minute night in the Samara area and got this gem at Casa Sabina. The host, Vincent, was very welcoming. The room was small but well equiped. There was a fridge and a little stove, which we did not get to use since we were only there for 1 night but would have used if were there for longer. The room has its own patio and hammock, is in a quiet location and has air conditioning.
