Excellent location, right on the Danube, close to the Schlögen meander, convenient ferry across the river. The restaurant offers delicious food, for example local fish. The photos are: the little ferry (can take 3 cars) and a panorama of the "Schlögener Schlinge".+

This is an old schloss with guest rooms on the third floor. Third floor is also an art gallery with modern interesting works. Second floor is a very interesting museum where you get a feel for how it was lived in previously. It is a quiet tree and green place unfortunately sandwiched between two giant factories but ignore that and you can enjoy living in the past. Room is very modern with great art work, very spacious, clean and good bathroom. Breakfast was sufficient - ask for an egg if you want one. Bonus - there is a cat to enjoy trying to pet! We enjoyed the uniqueness of the property and our stay was wonderful. Great restaurant in town - Wirsthaus Goldenes Rössl which we walked to.

Best place we stayed at in 3 weeks so far in Europe. Brigitte was very attentive & the food was outstanding. We had dinner that was cooked to order & the plum dumplings dessert was incredible. We haven’t had a bad stay on our trip but this place was the best. They had a garage to park our e-bikes & plugs to charge them.
