The host Maria was very kind and attentive. She welcomed us in front of the property and showed us our room. The property is in the Old city and very close to the Bazaar and all the restaurants, cafeteria and historic sites in Gjirokaster. We've had an amazing time and I truly recommend Maria and her lovely house.

It was really great stay at the Alsara Guesthouse. We expect it will be great after reading the reviews and seeing pictures of the breakfast and therefore we decided to stay two nights in Gijrokaster instead of one and we also recommend the other guests to stay longer in the town and at the Alsara Guesthouse. The location is great as right from the Guesthouse you enter the main streets of the Bazaar, so you are right in the center. Even though you are in the center there is no noise coming from town during the night, so we had great sleep. The rooms are very nice and clean. In the Alsara Guesthouse there is a great rooftop, which is one of the best things about this hotel. We enjoyed there a glass of wine with a beautiful view on the town and we started there our mornings with breakfast. The breakfasts are HUGE, and there are another reason to stay an extra night at the Alsara Guesthouse. Moreover, the owner is super carring and helpful, he recommend us places to visit, restaurants to eat at and helped organized a taxi with a good price. If you come to Gjirokaster you must stay at the Alsara Guesthouse, we loved it very much!

Joanna, the host, was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful with recommendations to visit the area. The video she made was very helpful to find her home. Without it, we would have had trouble finding her place. The location was great, and we enjoyed the view of the castle from her patio, where she served us a wonderful home cooked and traditional breakfast. The room worked well for us and was very quiet for sleeping. Joanna helped us park our car beside the room. Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend this cute and charming guestroom. Joanna's hospitality was heartfelt.

That's a great place! The owner helped us a lot, was super sweet and even made us amazing herbal tea :3 The view from the terrace is astonishing and I was absolutely mesmerized by it, that was one of the best breakfasts I ever had (food was also delicious!)

One of the best rooms we have ever booked! We liked it so much!! Very clean and beautiful room, perfect location (near to the center). The owners very friendly and the did the best for us. We ate also dinner in the hotel's restaurant and we ate delicious and traditional albanian food!! The breakfast was full!! Our room (double deluxe) had perfect view and was perfect decorated! 🥰
