Casa Velha do Palheiro Relais & Chateaux is a 5-star manor house hotel situated in the old Palheiro Gardens in the foothills of Funchal. Words simply cannot convey how wonderful our experience was. The resort is stunning, the service is superior, the food is extraordinary, and there are so many thoughtful and meaningful touches that make this truly an experience instead of just a vacation. We received champagne, scrumptious desserts. The hotel staff quickly memorized our names and always greeted us warmly. Thanks to Luis(team), Sergio, Vanessa and Diana. The food is the absolute best we've ever eaten. We didn't want to leave and are already thinking about a return trip in the coming months!

We liked the size of the apartment. The kitchen area is spacious. The apartment has terrasse on both sides. Very quiet place. The parking spot is just in front of the apartment.

The accommodation was amazing with everything we needed and more. The views were incredible from here and also from the top of Palheiro village at Vista Balancal restaurant at the golf club.

It is like grandma house. It is also big and has a barbecue area. We used it every day. Kitchen is well equipped. You need to get the charcol for the bbq. The host who welcomes you- Claudia is super kind person and very helpful. Beach and the city is not far away.
