Absolutely gorgeous setting, high up above the village of Hope and close to the ascent to Win Hill. This little cabin is located on a charming hillside, with sheep and lambs coming up to the gate to say hello. Very idyllic and quiet at night (save for the bleating lambs!) with a gorgeous view south across the valley. There is a little barbecue and outside seating area to take it all in. The cabin itself is compact, but clean and with everything you need for a quirky couple of nights' stay. Would absolutely book again.

Maisie and Jos (at the front desk) were just wonderful. We arrived late at night and they so warmly welcomed us and got us to our room. The room itself was perfect. The beds were the most comfortable we’ve had since traveling in England. And the darling staff in the club cafe and spa went above and beyond for us.

Whiston Hall is set in scenic Staffordshire countryside, just a 10-minute drive from Alton Towers. The 19th-century hotel has a leafy golf course, a modern bar area and elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. The hotel was really clean and tidy along with our rooms. The staff (Julie) was really welcoming, friendly, and helpful when we had questions. The food in the hotel was amazing really hot when it come out of the kitchen and had good portion sizes. Fantastic location with amazing views and it was so quiet, which was so nice after a whole day of exploring.

Set in 270 acres of Cheshire parkland, the Georgian country house Mottram Hall boasts a spa, leisure facilities and 2 restaurants. everything was really nice great spa area and restaurant

Shrigley Hall Hotel, just 15 miles south of Manchester city centre, is an impressive manor house in leafy Cheshire countryside. The historic hotel was situated in a picturesque setting, overlooking the mountains. The rooms were comfortable and adequately furnished. There was a nice bar area that included a large outdoor space with tables, as well as a restaurant onsite. While we didn't choose to use the spa and swimming pool, many others took advantage of that feature.
