The farm is absolutely lovely, you can visit all the animals in their enclosures and feed them grass. We traveled in early september and as there weren't many guests, our room was upgraded for free and we could sleep in the apartment. The apartment was very spacios and the kitchen was fully stocked. Our balcony had a great view of the farm. The breakfast was good value, not too many options but perfectly fine, the breakfast room was really cute.

Dating back to the 17th century, this property in Lavad village offers cottages with private kitchen facilities, free WiFi and a balcony with lake views. Beautiful countryside settings, cosy and welcoming authentic Swedish cottage. Mrs Ingbritt was a great host: you could tell she’s very proud of her family history, farming traditions and of the beauty of the Vänern Lake district. The accommodation was flawless, beautifully decorated and with views on a little gully and pond. We slept very well and comfortably.

Set in Bitterna, Bitterna Åkatorp is an organic farm and features accommodation with free WiFi and barbecue facilities. The accommodation has a spa bath. Some units have a dining area and/or a... A real Swedish farmhouse with homemade meals and friendly and helpful proprietors. I learned so much from Lars about the history of the area, where to visit and even about my family heritage.
