Los anfitriones, Peter y su mujer, son una pareja muy agradable. Nos trataron como si fuéramos auténticos invitados. Compartimos con ellos la cocina y salón-comedor, por lo que sí alguien busca privacidad, éste desde luego no es su lugar. Después de cenar, nos entretuvieron con juegos y charla. Por la mañana Peter nos invitó a ir a ordeñar vacas y dar de comer a los animales. Fue una experiencia muy interesante! Finalmente, antes de irnos, también nos llevó a hacer una pequeña excursión a la cima del monte TokaToka, también muy instructiva.

FreeFall Hut, que cuenta con vistas al jardín, ofrece alojamiento con terraza y balcón a unos 16 km de McLean Park. Freefall Hut is a wonderfully cozy & romantic cabin with excellent facilities. We loved the amazing woodwork, outdoor shower with endless hot water & great water pressure (always important in an outdoor shower). We only wished we could have stayed longer and enjoyed all the other facilities, outdoor bath, fire pit and BBQ. We will be back!

Great accommodation with every amenity. So peaceful and relaxing. If you're visiting Waitomo caves of anywhere in the area - Stay here. It's beautiful

Very tidy, great location and the bowl of fresh fruit on the way in was a fantastic gesture. Having met up with the Labradoodle and their owner (one of the hosts) after dinner out we were even happier with our choice.

Loved the fresh baked bread, slice/brownie on arrival and assortment of fruit, eggs, yoghurt, spreads and cereals for breakfast. There was a variety of appliances I didn't expect there to be such as a rice cooker, egg steamer and Dyson hair dryer, and the accomodation itself was clean, modern and tastefully decorated. It was frosty when we stayed and we were perfectly warm inside. Perfect location for visiting Hobbiton on an overnight trip!

Te Karaka Lodge tiene vistas a la montaña y se encuentra en Port Waikato. Cuenta con restaurante, salón de uso común, bar, jardín, piscina al aire libre abierta todo el año y terraza. Everything is perfect about this place. The road from Auckland to the property was a bit rocky but totally worth the trouble. It is such a quiet relaxing hideaway and this is what I have always envisioned of NZ. Aaron and Danielle are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcomed and at ease the whole time. The dinner prepared by Chef Dom is also superb. Have to come back again for a longer stay!
