Álftröð is 5 km from Brautarholt, a 30-minute drive to Geysir and Gullfoss Waterfall and a 40-minute drive to the Þingvellir National Park. Excellent breakfast, location and overall lovely guesthouse, our host was also very friendly, this was our favorite accommodation throughout our 10 day trip in Iceland!

This hotel is set on a farm within the Golden Circle Region, 15 minutes’ drive from Gulfoss Waterfall and Geysir hot water springs. We loved everything about the property. The room was very cozy and clean. The location was perfect (right in the middle of the golden circle). We also loved that we could get a delicious farm to table dinner on the property as well as ice cream and coffee. The staff was very friendly and we loved the dogs and cows.
