Our stay at this lovely house was truly exceptional, thanks in large part to the generosity and kindness of the hosts. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. In addition to the warm hospitality the house itself was a true gem. Tastefully decorated and impeccably maintained, it provided a cozy and inviting retreat. The comfortable rooms, charming decor, and peaceful surroundings made for a truly memorable stay. A delicious breakfast was served each morning, with a variety of options to suit every taste, and additionally the hosts took great care to accommodate our preferences. It was a delightful way to start the day. Overall, our experience at this house was nothing short of wonderful, thanks to the exceptional hosts, delectable breakfasts, and welcoming atmosphere. We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the opportunity to stay in such a special place.

A wonderful magical quinta. 1,000 years old with all old buildings and features well respected. We felt that we traveled in time without letting go of all the modern comfort. Belongs to the family who still work there fully, with 350 dunams of fields with agriculture, animals well taking care off, a river, a mill and a Roman bridge. The rooms are amazing! With vintage furniture and beautiful unique items. Angelo and Manuela are beautiful and authentic who manage their quinta with love and care. There is a pool with an amazing view. Place to cook and it and great breakfast made by Manuela. We recommend the wine they make! Lots of villages and nature around. We fully recommend to stop and stay there.

Our stay at Casa da escola was a fantastic surprise. We went in with no expectations and came out feeling completely relaxed and well treated. The facilities and rooms are all recent and well taken cared of, the scenery is out of a movie scene and the peaceful feeling was priceless. Not to mention the hosts that were truly exceptional and kind people. We can’t wait to go back to Casa da Escola.

Amazing mix of antique and modern stay! Rooftop! Wirlpool! Felt honestly as if I was visiting the parents of a friend 😄 Isabel the caring, active and chatty mother and Fernando, the man of few words but a big heart and friendly smile 😁 Both people with such a big heart and friendliness. And although I didn’t speak any portugese (but a little bit of spanisch and french)Isabel and I were talking and laughing for hours. Great stories and also very educative about Portugal! :) Very relaxed and not at all intrusive. Just stay there, do what you like and be happy :) The only things people who visit should know is: It is a very very rural area a little remote in the mountains. So perfect for a quiet stay and light hiking :) The next village with restaurants etc nearby is quickly reached by car maybe about 20 minutes. Oh and reception is not very strong out there, however they have excellent WLAN, so don’t worry :)
