Our visit to Quinta de la Rosa was simply wonderful and far exceeded expectations. Our room was beautiful with stunning views and dinner in the restaurant (on both nights) was outstanding. We had an excellent wine tour/tasting and did some fabulous hikes including right to the top of the estate. Couldn't recommend a visit here more highly.

Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

The apartment is located on the grounds of the D'Origem winery in Casal de Loivos. The views from the property are extraordinary. The unit has a large bedroom, living room with a sink and refrigerator, and a bathroom. There is air conditioning in both the living room and the bedroom. The outdoor patio is great for taking in the amazing panorama of the Douro valley. We were also given a tour of the Olive Oil Museum and a tasting of the wines and olive oils produced by D'Origem in their fantastic tasting room.

This place was absolutely wonderful. Clean, comfortable and lovely. The room was nice, the view was nice, the house and the garden look so great. But nothing impressed me more than the owners. I've been traveling for 2 months now, each night in a different place, and I can say without a doubt that they were the nicest hosts I've encountered so far. Thoughtful, very understanding with some problems I had, so nice and welcoming. They even thought about my breakfast, and because they did not offer breakfast at their place, they recommended me somewhere close where I can go (without me asking). I was very impressed by their niceness. Also, free and safe parking in the private yard.
