Despite the weather, the warm welcome was a ray of sunshine. My evening dining experience was nothing short of very enjoyable, a truly delightful local pasta cooked by the host Biagio. Very welcoming and a great location to discover the immediate local interest. Being between Etna and Taormina make Alcantara a great place to stay.

Gorgeous setting, with fabulous pool and the friendliest most helpful small team running it we have experienced on holiday. Our 3 children were made to feel like they were part of the family. Ideally based for a quick 20mins into Taormina and the surrounding area - Castelmola and Granitti both recommended too! Isola Bella is also highly recommend in the area but we ran out of time to do it all.

We had an exceptional stay at Alcantara Natura Resort. The owner was so kind to accommodate all our requests about breakfast, late check-in (our flight had 5h delay) and late check-out. The apartment we stayed in had a breathtaking view of the valley and mountains. It was always clean, beds were comfortable, the wi-fi was good, the terrace where we had breakfast each morning was lovely. The kids enjoyed playing in the pool area.

Casa Arrigo is a lovey complex of rooms and suites with beautiful courtyard/patio areas, communal pool, garden and loungers. The modern dining area used for breakfast and wine tastings has been beautifully positioned to maximise the stunning views of Etna across the Villa Neri vineyards. Breakfast was good. This was a wonderful quiet, comfortable and relaxing place to stay after being in some of the busier parts of the island and great for accessing the less busy Etna Nord circuit.
