Despite the weather, the warm welcome was a ray of sunshine. My evening dining experience was nothing short of very enjoyable, a truly delightful local pasta cooked by the host Biagio. Very welcoming and a great location to discover the immediate local interest. Being between Etna and Taormina make Alcantara a great place to stay.

Casa Arrigo is a lovey complex of rooms and suites with beautiful courtyard/patio areas, communal pool, garden and loungers. The modern dining area used for breakfast and wine tastings has been beautifully positioned to maximise the stunning views of Etna across the Villa Neri vineyards. Breakfast was good. This was a wonderful quiet, comfortable and relaxing place to stay after being in some of the busier parts of the island and great for accessing the less busy Etna Nord circuit.

Every thing is home made and very tasty. An excellent way to start the day. The location is absolutely amazing. The farm is surrounded by forests and beautiful views of Mt Etna. Filippo the owner will do his best to accommodate the guests needs.

There are plenty of activities for kids and family, the location itself amid the mountains is enchanting, there are plenty of animals all around, and even the pets are friendly and tolerant with little kids. Filippo and Rita are the perfect hosts - patient, kind, full of information and generous. We stayed for 5 nights, opted for dinner on all of them - and enjoyed every moment of our stay - a perfect family experience.EldadiusFamily with young children
