Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable about the history, the area, the wines, and pretty much anything else we asked. Breakfast is very Italian, with cookies, cakes and fruit, so if you’re somehow thinking you’re going to do low-carb while I’m Italy, it’s best to check with them ahead of time to see if they can accommodate (which I have little doubt they will). But make sure you stay for dinner and a wine tasting! The restaurant menu uses local ingredients to craft lovely dishes that are both modern and capture the traditions of the area. The wines are also delightful, with a wide range of styles to suit different tastes and dishes.
