This location was absolutely perfect for our stay in Tuscany. We wanted a lovely location where we could enjoy the countryside and explore the small towns. We found it!!! The views were incredible and there was plenty of seating to enjoy the outdoors -- both day and night (the stars are incredible). The room had lovely touches throughout and everything was comfortable. The owner, Valentina, was FANTASTIC. Incredibly friendly and helpful. She checked in with us at breakfast and helped us craft the perfect itinerary. Speaking of breakfast, it surpassed all expectations - fresh juice; homemade yogurt; and so many more choices (sweet and savory with an emphasis on the local region) than were needed for a breakfast for three. Valentina even made us fresh scrambled eggs from local hens when she found out that my mom enjoyed eggs for breakfast. However, the really thoughtful detail came after we checked out. We left our cell phone. Given the timing of our trip, it was not possible to return and Valentina generously offered to mail it to us. She refused to even consider being reimbursed for the expense.

Peaceful Oasis are the two words that comes to mind. Over the course of a month, my husband and I stayed in 18 different places (together and separately), and this was the one we both regretted leaving the most. Our host was gracious beyond measure. The accommodations were welcoming, and the views were beautiful beyond description. On our second night, we were especially fortunate to have the place all to ourselves. We were told that the roads of Val d'Orcia were the most beautiful in Italy. We felt ridiculously lucky to find that this beautiful gem at the end of the road!
