Located 6 km from the beaches of Balestrate, Baglio Carta is a traditional Sicilian building on a working farm. Surrounded by vineyards and citrus groves, it offers free Wi-Fi, a pool and country-style rooms.

I recently had the immense pleasure of visiting Azienda Agrituristica Baglio Carta in the heart of picturesque Sicily, Italy, and it was nothing short of a culinary revelation. This charming family-run agriturismo has left an indelible mark on my taste buds and my heart, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic Italian experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the family, who welcomed me like an old friend. Their genuine hospitality and passion for sharing Sicily's rich culinary heritage shone through in every aspect of my stay. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the unforgettable dining experience. The dinner I had at Baglio Carta was quite simply the best I've had in all of Italy, and that's saying something! The menu was a testament to the farm-to-table ethos, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced directly from their own land. Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavors that only the Sicilian countryside can produce. From the melt-in-your-mouth pasta dishes to the succulent meats and the heavenly desserts (the lemon cake-please tell me how to make) each bite was a revelation. The breakfast spread was equally impressive, offering a delightful array of homemade pastries, fresh fruits, and local cheeses. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as I enjoyed my morning meal outdoors with a view of the stunning Sicilian countryside. The setting itself is an oasis of tranquility. Surrounded by olive groves, Baglio Carta provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I cannot recommend Azienda Agrituristica Baglio Carta enough. Whether you're a food enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply looking for an authentic Sicilian experience, this hidden gem is the place to be. The warmth of the family, the unparalleled cuisine, and the idyllic setting make it a destination that will leave you with cherished memories and a longing to return.

The rustic-style rooms are all linked by a round terrace with views of the surrounding area. Each room comes with a TV, tiled floors and a private bathroom with free toiletries.

Lo Zingaro Natural Reserve and Palermo are a 40-minute drive from the Manostalla, while Balestrate beach is only 2.5 km away. Discounts are available at a wellness centre 2 km from the farm stay.

I love this place. Life is so authentic and rustic, it is simple irresistible. The villa is impressive, but the courtyard is spectacular, in the summer you can sit there and enjoy lunch or dinner underneath the gorgeous trees of the courtyard. Every morning you wake up to the sound of birds squarreling on the rooftop, there is nothing like it. The villa is surrounded by their vineyards and olive trees and home-grown vegetables and a fabulous swimming pool. The food and their wines are just exquisite. I love their white Grillo, so rich in flavor. The family and staff are simply amazing, they welcome you with open arms and make you feel right at home. They run the villa with so much passion and pride and generosity, it is beautiful to see. Words don’t do this place justice, you should just experience it yourself. Thank you Alessandro, Lucy and everybody for making this experience unforgettable, I hope to return soon!

The accommodation is stocked with everything someone on holiday needs. I really liked the typical rustic farmhouse style of the entire complex. The extreme tranquillity and peace that the area offers. The breakfast was very diverse and inviting. The pool is definitely a service to consider, especially during hot periods or on windy days when you can't go to the beach. Lucy and the rest of the staff were very courteous, hospitable, and responsive to all my requests.

The apartment is in a very central location in Balestrate and shops, farmacies, restaurants etc are close by and in walking distance. The beach is a little bit further away (about one kilometer) and in particular with small children it is useful to have a car. The apartment itself is very clean and equipped with everything you need. Mino provided us every day with useful tips for excursions and he was very attentive. We really enjoyed out time in Balestrate! Many thanks Mino :-)

Pool is great, food option in house is a really nice to have. Location works well for Scopello, Palermo Airport etc. Staff are amazing! So Friendly. Has a nice rustic vibe to the place. Nearest town is 10mins drive. Feels like it's off the beaten tourist track somewhat, which is great. We really enjoyed our stay. Staff are amazing! Really nice mix between locals and internationals, just feels like everyone is welcome.

Luca, Ciara, and Federica were amazing hosts! Phenomenal food - fresh, local and incredibly tasty. Their olive oil and local produce were delicious. Some of the best food we tasted in all of Italia. Beautiful views of the farm and surrounding countryside.

Loved this property. It has beautiful views of rolling hills down to the ocean. The history of the property is fascinating. We loved the animals that roamed around. The food in the restaurant was exceptional and all organically grown on the farm. Our room was comfortable and authentic for a historic farm stay. The host was lovely. She was very friendly and made sure our stay was enjoyable and all of our needs were met.

The location is perfect with so many opportunities of visiting other towns and beaches. The pool is perfect for an afternoon plunge to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the farm. Alessandro and his family are always available to share their family's history with you and offer suggestions of where to visit. Dinner is abundant with all the local ingredients as the plates continue to arrive on your table along with a bottle of his own wine. Also perfect setting for a wedding <3

A working farm but all facilities for guests. rooms surrounding a beautiful large courtyard with trees for shade to cover dining tables where breakfast of all local produce - most from their own farm. Each room had all facilities including outside seating area on the perimeter of the courtyard. The staff could not be more helpful in every way - unbelievable! The restaurant also reflected the same care and commitment to making our visit the highlight of our tour.
