The host is very nice. He helped us when we needed to go to the farmacie while it was closed by calling a friend. He asked every morning what we where planning and gave good advice on nice places to see and good places to eat. Breakdast is vert good.

The house and church across the street witnessed fighting between the French and Austrians in the Battle of Marengo in 1800, there are Austrian cannon balls stuck in the front wall of the church outside the main gate to the farm. The decisive French counterattack lined up on the drive to La Cascina Grossa. I loved the history of the building and setting. It also was a very peaceful and quiet setting.JosephFamily with young children
