The property had lots of chacacter especially in the actually farm house where we had breakfast. Paul and Sarah have done a fantastic job at renovating the property.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Hawthorn Farm House. Paul and Sarah are so welcoming. The whole place is immaculate with lots of home comforts. Conveniently located to walk into the town of Buxton, with parking provided. A great place to explore the local area. Highly recommend 👌

The owner Paul was very welcoming. He directed us in late evening rain. Got us to our rooms and explained everything there. He was friendly with our children too. In the morning him and wife served us a very delicious breakfast. It was nice that they had a vegetarian option. Our favorite part of the traditional English breakfast was the beans and the savory pancake. Paul also was nice enough to give us a little history of the farmhouse and how they came to own it.

Lovely, comfortable farm house. The host was very friendly and welcoming, offering ideas for days out and ensuring we felt at home in the house. Breakfast was freshly cooked (so allow time in your day to relax and enjoy this). Located in a very rural area, so great to get away but be prepared to have to drive to buy food etc.

It was a lovely farmhouse and the bedrooms designed in the old barns. The room was extremely comfortable, warm and had all the essentials needed for the stay - toiletries, tea and coffee and chocolate bars too! Excellent breakfasts were included with the room and Sarah and Paul were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to continue exploring the Peak District.

Set in an old farmhouse, the property felt rustic with a modern twist. The front porch was ideal for us and our dog!

Loved this place, great hosts and breakfasts. We stayed in the barn conversion, well equipped and tastefully done with quality furnishings. Nice use of the space with sliding glass door creating an area to sit as well as table and chair outside. Paul has a passion for the history of this place and loaned us a book detailing the old farmhouse which dates back several hundred years. Felt very comfortable here and hope to return another time.
