I stayed in a suite with four windows that opened up to a beautiful view and every morning I would open all of them and just enjoy the sound of the wind and watch the sun rise. This place was just spectacular!!! Let me preface this by saying I’m the researcher and planner for our vacays and I’m not easy going. Subies absolutely did not disappoint! This old house that has been in Juan’s family for generations was recently renovated and it is decorated just oh so beautifully! Many of the furniture has been made by Juan and the pride he holds for his home and his island is simply lovely! He greeted us warmly and was super accessible and responsive throughout our stay. From helping with day trip plans to helping with restaurant reservations, we could not ask for more. The breakfasts were delicious and the common areas so comfortable, beautifully decorated and welcoming. Our bed was super comfortable and our room was tranquil and quiet. I wanted a spot away from the city that would be a good base camp for exploring the various parts of the island. Subies proved to be an excellent choice. We have so many places to visit on our bucket list but I do hope we get back here some day!
