For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Super hosts, close to beach and amenities. Rustic and authentic experience. Hosts organised all our activities, you simply have to provide a copy of your passport. By staying here, you are directly supporting a local family!
Gringo and his wife are amazing hosts. Was very helpful before we arrived, picked us up off the boat and helped in any way he could. The cabin is a nice rustic stay, it's well equipped to cook in. Walkable to the shops and beach, and far rural enough for it to be really quiet. We saw macaws and toucans from the balcony of the cabin too!
The stunning location, set literally at the end of 20+ km of unpaved road, on its own lagoon, a few metres from the ocean, with only the sounds of the birds and frogs to disturb the peace. The owners, super helpful and friendly, sociable but never intrusive. The property itself, self-contained units with rustic simplicity and total privacy.
Guillermo and the rest of the family were so welcoming and helpful and organised everything we wanted to do. The lodges are simple and rustic but have everything needed. Food was home cooked and very nice. It was a bit of a trek up the hill to the lodges but we got used to it and the staff helped with the bags. Amazing location within the rain forest!
Located on a lovely rustic farm with nice views of the lagoon and beach. There are complimentary canoes and kayaks to take on the lagoon. There is also a forest trail on the property. It was a pleasure to be hosted by Sabrina and Edu. Edu was kind enough to pick and drop us at the airport. Nice meals that were accommodating of our dietary restrictions.
The family working there is so wonderful. only stayed four nights but we really felt at home. the view is very nice. you can hike from there to the scretch of the national park by yourself. the beach has an awesome rural charme, we loved it, rough for swimming but if you take care it is fine, you will have the beach sometimes for yourself. The hotel is super clean
The location. It was right on the edge of the forest and you felt immersed in nature. It was family run and people were so friendly and helpful. They had great communication with us before we arrived and made sure that our tours were planned and that our pick ups were organised. The beach was a still away and deserted and beautiful. Sea view form the room and a veranda with a hammock to lounge on. The room was rustic but they made wonderful towel creatures for us everyday and decorated our dining table for us. Such lovely touches.
