Located in the heart of Salvador’s historical center, the charming Villa Bahia Hotel is set in two traditional colonial houses featuring a terrace with panoramic view to the Pelourinho. This is a beautiful hotel in one of the most important historical areas of the city. The premises are beautiful and with small details to be discovered. I enjoy every second of my time there.

This is a small boutique hotel located next to the Praça da Sé, a popular square in the heart of Pelourinho. Public transportation and the Elevator Lacerda are a short walk away. Michel, the young man working the front desk, was a delight. He was extremely helpful, alerting me to various activities around town. He was so friendly and made me feel at home. Breakfast and breakfast room were very nice, too. Great overall atmosphere and location (one block from central square).

Situated in Salvador, within walking distance from Pelourinho, Hotel Pousada da Mangueira features an outdoor pool and beautiful gardens. cute spot! amazing location, the historic district is so close and walkable! staff gave us great restaurant and event suggestions. the hotel's breakfast was also fantastic. highly recommend

Situated in the peaceful Pelourinho neighborhood, Laranjeiras is a recently reformed hostel with free Wi-Fi, cheerful yellow exteriors and ornamental patios. Excellent varied breakfast included in price and served in their café on the bottom floor, nice staff and pleasant space to sit and linger/work after breakfast. Great wifi. I loved the amazing location on a street with old colorful houses, right across from the Olodum school, which pretty much meant free drumming shows when they practiced on the street right in front of the hostel entrance! Nice shared bathrooms with several shower stalls (male/female separate), with hand soap and toilet paper. Helpful people at the reception, one block to a square with places to eat and outside music at night. Loved this hostel.
