The staff was extremly friendly and accommodating and provided us with the most pleasant stay possible. We often reminisce about the safari tours with Clio. His experience and respect for the animals impressed us deeply and let us experience the animals in the most special way. He explained a lot about the behavior of the animals. He grew up in this region and has a very deep understanding of the animals and nature in general. Our highlight was the lion family with their small cubs who bravely played around our car. A big thank you to the best Ranger Clio for making it possible to experience such special moments! We will never forget you. It definitely wasn’t our last stay at Pumba Private Game Reserve. Everything was just perfect. The rooms. The Service. The food. The safaris with Nel. So interesting to learn about nature and animals. She she did the safari with so much passion, professionalism and so much fun. Exceptional. We had the best time ever. We stayed for two nights but it felt like a week. Nothing to add. Incredible, the lodges were so beautiful and finished to an amazing standard. The location just feels like you’re in a different world, so special. The lodges look over a watering pool so we watched elephants come by every day to drink whilst we ate lunch, amazing!

This must be THE BEST safari lodge and wildlife experience in southern SA! The location, the staff, the guides, the food, the overall experience was absolutely superb. An added bonus was the open bar. A very nice touch indeed. We were lucky enough to meet the owners, and we can see why this place is as nice as it was :-)

The property is close to Grahamstown yet far enough away to be out in the country. Easy access and shady parking. It was also nice to be able to walk in the reserve and a bonus to see giraffe, Nyala, zebra and impala.
