Supervisors and staff were very friendly and accommodating. My flight to port vila cancelled 2 consecutive days but they didn’t charge me and kept rescheduling the room. Lagoon view from our rooms was awesome. They also helped to book taxis whenever I asked for even late evenings.

This review is coming from the perspective of someone who lives in Melbourne, Australia - where things are expensive. We stayed in a pool bungalow, it was a 1 bedroom villa with our own pool. For the price it was great ! Nice view of the water and a comfy bed.
If you’re a coeliac / need to eat gluten free, I highly recommend staying here. The Mangoes restaurant food is really good, they have gf options and are really accomodating in modifying meals to gluten free. The fish was so fresh, the lobster was incredible and the steak was chefs kiss. Shout out to the chef, Every meal we had was perfect! You could probably find food cheaper somewhere elsewhere but we ate here the whole time because we were lazy and it was delicious. Also, the pina coladas were good too!
We did ended up moving next door to the terraces after two nights because we wanted a little more privacy and space. I’m pretty sure both accommodation is the same owner. We continued eating at mangoes restaurant. The room services is still from Mangoes at the terraces.
All of the staff were soooooooo nice and relaxed.
Also, if you feel like a little change of scenery, you can walk down to the holiday inn and purchase a day pass for 2000VT // approx 25AUD to use their pool and facilities. We rented a kayak and paddled around the lagoon, saw lots of pretty starfish and some regular fish too.
Vanuatu MG Cocomo Resort offers Melanesian-style accommodation, located a 5-minute drive from central Port Vila and a 15-minute drive from Port Vila Airport.

Every thing about the resort was just what we needed as a family of 5. Breakfast was made fresh every morning and the dinner we ate was beautifully made fresh as well! Kids loved their pizza and I loved my reef and beef and hubby had a seafood basket and it was the highlight of our dinner as we all got to try the seafood too.

Our trip was a bit of a roller coaster , but overall we enjoyed our time there .
Highlights , 83 islands distillery tour was awesome . Mele beach bar great food , awesome staff and location and the fire show on Friday nights fantastic . Kids can swim at the beach , have a feed and watch the shoe -A+ . The markets were awesome as usual .
Low lights . We’ve been going to Vanuatu for over 20 yrs , and our recent trip to the cascades saddened us and emptied our wallets .
The current owners havnt maintained the place and the entry fee is extortion . The roads are next level knarly All 3 of our airport transfers were no shows which was disappointing but not the end of the world .
The people of Vanuatu are why we come back every time . They really are the friendliest people on earth .
Special shout out to Gideon and his family from Havanah eco lodge .
They treated us like family and we had a great time over there .

Port Villa is heaven on earth, I have been there 3 times and will always go back, with all the natural disasters this island goes through people are still so friendly and happy all the time, they live a simple life and always have a reason to smile, i strongly advise visiting the locals as it much better than staying in the resorts, the rivers , lagoons and beachs are surreal and its all so clean, the locals will always say hello and help you with anything you need.
There are plenty of taxis to go around, I would stay away from resorts for food and go into town as the resorts are extremely expensive and the town prices are so much cheaper.

Fresh food and souvenir markets were very well maintained.
Fresh food and souvenir markets were very well maintained. Indeed the waterfront esplanade area was attractive apart from the toilets behind the stage set up for MAC festival which had a $1.00 AU entry fee. Our trip on the coral viewing boat was worthwhile. The Museum was a great disappointment especially given the high entry fee and the seeming lack of curatorial care in presenting historical perspectives such as WW2 events and impacts of colonisation.

The local people were great: friendly, helpful and polite.
The local people were great: friendly, helpful and polite. There were good restaurants, particularly the Waterfront Bar and Grill. It was easy to get a taxi or bus on the street, but asking the hotel to get you a taxi may result in a long wait for their preferred driver to arrive.
We heard several stories from disappointed people who booked resorts where there was nothing to do and had ferry charges to get back to the mainland.

Location is very good for those who like to be away from town, away from noise (like me),
but you require a car or truck due to the distance from town.
The 3-bedroom apartment is clean and comfortable !
The place is very quiet.
Good place to stay when travelling with kids (or friends) as price is much cheaper than staying at a hotel.
The apartment is full furnished including washing machine / fridge & possibility to make BBQ on the terrasse.
Place was not easy to be found but we had a good welcome on arrival !
Really enjoyed my stay at Chantilly's. Great location very close to town and next to the wonderful Banyan beachside bar. Room was very comfortable and even had a little separate desk area that would make a great office for business travellers. Good restaurant and bar, a favourite of my friend who lives in Port Vila. Staff were great and very helpful, organised a taxi to take me to airport for very early morning departure which all went smoothly.
The rooms and the hotel grounds are wonderful. Rooms are well-equipped, comfy and spacious. The grounds are delightful, with fabulous ocean views. We weren't lucky with the weather, and it was very windy and quite cool but it was still a very pleasant stay. The food at both restaurants was all great, although very pricey like anywhere in Vanuatu. We enjoyed breakfast and tried something different each day - everything was delicious and fresh.
This place is one of the most special places I've ever stayed due to the wonderful staff who work hard everyday to make you feel welcomed. From Nunez on reception to Alice and the boys on the floor to the kitchen staff everybody was just delightful to talk to. The staff make this place the most wonderful stay one could ever imagine. We were even taught some Bislama. A MUST do if you are in Vanuatu.
Amazing service. Petter and Anne are so wonderful and the staff was friendly and accommodating as well. The food is INCREDIBLE -- the best food we had in Vanuatu, by far. The property is lovely and comfortable. The shower pressure and hot water was perfect every time. The views are spectacular and the dives were great. Can't recommend enough!!
Being quite new and very modern the room were excellent, nice & clean, good aircon, only issue the family rooms being so far from the facilities.
The staff were extremely friendly, and Renata helped out so much with booking our tours.
The pool area was great with food and drinks easily available.
It was good value for money, with a central location to Port Vila and the airport for our late night flight. Staff kindly agreed & remembered to leave delicious food in our rooms for our midnight checkin. Waterfront was a nice view to wake up to.
Location right on beach, nice mix of sun and shade. Snorkeling EASY kayaking EASY. Supplies for cooking there. Washing machine use appreciated🙂 WIFI worked great once we found password. Hotel Havannah had great dinner (adults only)
The Location is nice. People and Staff are very friendly. According to Google Map it is a 5 star hotel. That's not true. It's a 3 start hotel, no gym, no aircon, no TV, no internet in the bungalow, and the food was standard.
The hotel is beautiful. It's near by to shopping mall and town, restaurant and bars are beside the hotel. Very nice people we meet their at the hotel. The rooms are cheap compare to others. The room is clean and comfortable.
-beautiful and spacious lobby
-clean rooms and bathrooms
-very attentive and friendly staff
-sizeable pool
-good location, close to city centre and airport
