The bed was comfortable. The showers were great. The service at the front desk was excellent. The hot breakfasts were a treat. The room walls were well insulated; I did not hear the neighbors to the side or above.

For this area it was a pretty good affordable option. The hotel was close to the slopes, Aspen and Vale were just an hour drive. We were able to rent skis i the town for much cheaper than what we would pay in Aspen. The town was nice and cozy - had pretty good shops, amenities and (cheap) restaurants with good food. The location of the town is also very convenient - very easy drive from highway.
The hotel had everything you need for a longer stay. Rooms are comfortable, had kitchen, nice tv with Netflix and Youtube, comfortable bed and a big sofa. It was a good place to relax after hitting the slopes. The hotel lobby is very nice and new (it has a fireplace!). There is a firepit outside. We never got to go to the gym, pool or spa but they looked nice when we were walking by.
The staff was extremely nice and friendly.
A small very clean town. Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly. The area is beautiful and I loved being high in the mountains.
It is a small area but close to other towns that have more stores and restaurants. I visited many areas around New Castle. I drove to Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Gypsum, and Denver. Can’t wait to visit the area again.

I highly recommend the adventure park in New Castle, taking the cave tours, and swinging on the giant swing! It's easy getting around town, and there's a large hot spring. The weather was perfect in May, while I was there with family. It's a clean little city with beautiful landscapes, and lots to do, shops, restaurants, etc. You'll enjoy this place!

We have family members that live in New Castle and we have been visiting the area for years.
We often stay in a hotel due to the number of us that come and visit. I think the town is a more affordable option to stay in than in Glenwood Springs. New Castle is a tiny town but has a couple of great restaurants (as of 5/30/21 Little Bear Cafe for breakfast and Tapatios for lunch or dinner) or you can drive to Rifle just 15 mins. west on I-70 for many more restaurant options. There is a reservoir just 15 minutes northwest of the town with sandy beaches, swimming, fishing, picnics, kayaking, etc. Glenwood Springs is just 15 minutes drive, plus day trips in the summer to Grand Junction, Aspen, and Vail are all possible from New Castle (I would not recommend these day trips during the winter though.) Close to Burning Mountain Festival held in September each year. For lodging, The Lodge is okay, but you'll find better options in nearby Rifle. CO.

The hotel gave me such a great impression as we drove in to check in. Very well curated garden was so pretty. The room was really clean and well maintained and the staff was very attentive and answered every single of my question with care. Only thing I would recommend is to clean upbthe kitchen area. As a first timer, it was very confusing.

Well, this is a small town that had a handy location-didn't want to drive to Denver area on a Sunday--home bound traffic from the mountains is horrible any time of the year now. Wanted a newer lodging that was affordable-Glenwood Springs has a high self image it seems and overpriced for what you get.New Castle only 10 miles way. People are nice enough, but not tons to sight see-just a place to rest your head. Went to the local pub, food OK but way over salty, but we are older (72) and have to watch our diet. Looks like hiking was a local popular activity.
