Buffalo is definitely a formerly prosperous city with amazing old architecture and parks. We were there in mid-April so the weather was on the verge of Spring but still chilly. It had some quality museums and it was fun driving around the old industrial areas which they are trying to clean up and take advantage of the ols structures. The food scene is probably okay at night but they are still suffering from the pandemic as far as the lunch/brunch scene, at least as far as we could find. Water was all around as it is on Lake Erie and I know the summer it is probably busy with sailing and boating, etc. We were just too early. There were numerous empty marinas waiting for summer.

Buffalo is rich in history and architecture.
Buffalo is rich in history and architecture. The eating places downtown rival any that I have dined in all over the world. The reason for my visit was twofold. My friend and I spent a day at the Albright Knox Art museum. Like the cuisine, the gallery rivals many that I have visited. It was not so large though, that you could not do it justice in one day.
The shopping on day two at Walden Galleria gave us such delight! It was full of bargains.
Buffalo has something for everyone.

Do not miss the Frank Lloyd Wright house or the AKG (Albright Know Gallery art museum) or, of course, Niagara Falls. Walk around...beautiful neighborhoods of well kept large old homes and funky shops everywhere. Appealing shops, excellent restaurants, and affordable!

Buffalo has so much to offer.
Buffalo has so much to offer. From the waterfront with great restaurants, boat charters, and kayaking and canoeing, to the beautiful architecture and interesting museums, the whole city feels alive with wonder and intrigue. It has a little bit of everything - if you want to feel small amidst skyscrapers and disappear into the crowd at a show, downtown is your spot. If you want to escape to the country for a stroll through the woods or gallop across sprawling fields, head to East Aurora or Newfane. There is shopping everywhere - great unique boutiques with special one-of-a-kind treasures, high-end department stores with all the new stuff, restaurants with five-star offerings from around the world. Buffalo is definitely a world-class destination with hometown charm. Diverse and alive with life and opportunity, this All America City is definitely one to visit if you're looking for a special place.

We visited the Buffalo Zoo, which is the third oldest zoo in the country. It was under renovation but it was nice, small compared to other zoos I've been to. I loved that it was in an old neighborhood and easy to access. Lots of places to shop and great wings, pizza and craft beers. Of course if you are close to Buffalo you have to pop over to Niagara Falls which is always beautiful to see and a short 30 minute drive.

The location was great.
The location was great. Took us no longer than 20+ minutes to get anywhere. Lots of walkable restaurants. However, the beds were not queen size, they were maybe twin or double. Also the pool and hot tub areas were down when we went to use them. I'm not a fan of having to pay $15 a night just to park my car. Shouldn't that be part of the stay? $220 to stay in a room with small beds and no pool/hot tub and then more money to park. Nah, not right. We went to the Bills stadium. Casinos, put put, Niagara falls and wax museum.
As someone who loves vintage hotels, I was intrigued by The Lenox’s history. Exterior architectural details and even some bathroom fixtures are worth noting but I can’t help but wonder if this building wasn’t a Single Room Occupancy hotel at some point. (In fact the Lenox is partly an apartment hose today). There’s a residual sadness The staff and owners seem to be doing the best to keep it clean and show professionalism. But it would need a gut renovation to get another star. That said, the rates are great for historic downtown
Incredibly spacious room with bonus facilities including a microwave in the kitchenette.
The bed was large and comfortable and a good breakfast is served in the morning.
In the evening, complimentary drinks and nibbles gave us another opportunity to meet other guests at the hotel.
Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating when we were trapped in Buffalo during the Dec 2022 blizzard storms and a travel ban issued - which prevented us from leaving as intended and had to stay additional days at the hotel.
the property is certainly different & quite interesting. probably not for everyone, but it worked for us. we walked to 3 quite close terrific museums & to Delaware Park, took a longer walk to the Martin House (FL Wright), walked to some very good restaurants & took a bus to downtown. The room was very clean & was straightened up each day. The building is, to say the least, unique. The bar is fun, good small plates & friendly staff. About a 20-30 minute drive from Niagara Falls.
Great location downtown. The 1 bedroom suites are pretty roomy. The bed was really comfortable and my window view was of the city. love that it has a restaurant downstairs and you get a percentage off if you use your key card. The bars/clubs are right down the street from the hotel. The location is very clean and you seem safe in this particular area. It’s not a crowded city so the traffic isn’t bad at all, relatively calm.
The house is AMAZING (especially the room where guests have breakfast) and is a piece of historic significance; staff are fantastic; breakfast is super delicious (big shoutout to the chef who was super nice and encouraged me before my bar exam); close to downtown (in walking distance to major attractions in the city center and NY Bar test center - in case you are also taking the bar exam)
The location is primo, close to my kid's favorite food stop (Buffalo's iconic Anchor Bar). My wife and daughter love the shuttle to nearby shopping and restaurants. I liked the bed and the microwave in the room, which some places are moving away from. My family all agree that we should stay here when we visit Buffalo.
The decor at this hotel is amazing! We were impressed upon driving up, and even more so upon entering. This hotel is beautiful, very comfortable, and serves a good breakfast. The courtyard was great for our toddler to roam while Daddy got in some extra sleep. It’s the best $80 spent on a hotel room!
The downtown location of this hotel, with free parking, was exactly what I needed. Easy access to restaurants and interesting local sights. My room was spotless and I had a great view of the setting sun over the Niagara River from my room. It was lovely. Breakfast was good too (and free).
Very beautiful hotel that looks like a garden. You need to have a car to go places. The location is very near to the airport. there is also a gym and sauna. the hotel also provides free shuttle service from the hotel to the airport. The staff is helpful and polite.
It was close to the airport. The room we stayed in had been recently renovated and had hardwood floors along with a kitchenette. Our room was decent, but other rooms looked tired and worn. The front desk staff and location were the best thing about this hotel.
Big room, comfortable bed.
The staff were super nice and always available. The transfer from and to the buffalo airport is a plus, we really appreciated it.
We also appreciate the possibility to dine in one the restaurants part of the same structure.
it was a good location, easy to catch the tram everywhere. The room was clean and comfortable for our family. The rate felt a bit high but I don’t really know the going rate for a Buffalo hotel and imagine it’s higher in the summer.
Newly remodeled hotel conveniently located near the Buffalo International Airport. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was extra clean and comfortable. The price was just right.
this hotel was situated close to the theatre district in Buffalo, with a basic breakfast included and guest laundry onsite as well as very friendly staff, we enjoyed our stay here
The staff was very polite, the hotel and parking were good, the breakfast was varied. The hotel is located close to the airport, great if you are traveling.
