We so enjoyed staying at Hotel Slamic. We spent four nights in Ljubljana and the accommodation is perfectly placed for visiting the old town and also close to pick up points for the day trips we did. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Plenty of floor and cupboard space for luggage. Breakfast was included and was ordered and prepared in a novel way. We ordered the day before and nominated a time for service. This system worked extremely well, helping to ensure there is no wastage. The serves are very generous and include choices of continental or cooked… or both😊. The staff, family who run the business, were very helpful and friendly. I do not hesitate in recommending Hotel Slamic as your home in Ljubljana.

A great stay that started with a communication with the hosts: we were coming late and they made sure that we had a convenient "online" check-in. The room is modern and clean, has a kettle and a fridge. The breakfast is absolutely fabulous!!! There are a couple of parking spots in front of the hotel, but the chance to get them is small, however there is a large parking just around the corner.

The charming Slovenian capital, Ljubljana is the only large city in the country. Dominated by the Castle Hill with Medieval Ljubljana Castle on top, the city is a picturesque Balkan mix of architectural styles, romantic bridges and scenic views.
Due to two major earthquakes in 1511 and 1895, which destroyed many buildings, the Old Town features a range of styles: from Roman period, through Medieval Baroque to Vienna Secession. This trend exists throughout the city with many Gothic-style buildings featuring elements from different periods added later on.
Strolling along the Ljubljanica River you will see the Triple Bridge, connecting two parts of the centre and beautifully lit in the evenings. Make a stop at the Prešelen Square, Ljubljana’s most popular meeting point with Franciscan Church of Annunciation and one of the main shopping streets, Čop Street.
With over 10,000 cultural events a year and still preserving the charm of a smaller town, Ljubljana is a city where one can truly relax: on a bench in the Tivoli Park, in one of the bars of the Town Square or on a funicular going to the top of the Castle Hill.
Whether you’re looking for cheap or luxury hotels, near the city centre or the Brnik Airport, Booking.com has plenty of properties for your Ljubljana holiday!
Ljubljana was fantastic, especially coming from Australia,...
Ljubljana was fantastic, especially coming from Australia, it was so unlike what we were used to and I kept saying…. “It’s like we are walking inside a fairytale”.
We were so enchanted with the place, the restaurants and bars in the city Centre were so classy and beautifully lit that it made us want to go into each of them, which of course we couldn’t do… buy hey… there’s always a next time.
The castle also was well above our expectations… beautifully modernized in a way that was sympathetic to the original building. There are a couple of seriously good restaurants up there too but, for this trip, we only made it as far as the cafe.
/coffee shop.
If you go to the cafe make sure you go down the stairs to the toilets, they are within a super cool jazz bar, I’d have loved to have gone there in the evening for a show - not many jazz bars in the world would be set within a 400 year old castle I reckon.

Ljubljana is a beautiful "little" capital that have so much to offer and show to the visitor. City break - check, walking tour - check, river lover - check, nature lover - check, culture toure - check, etc (I guess you get the point). We will definitely visit it again and I am pretty sure that everyone should do it at least one time in his life (it is worth it).

Unfortunately my experience was affected by three days of rain. It appeared to me that the city was pleasant enough without being filled with enough sights for a three day visit. There was only one city tour (other than walking tours) on a little train that took you up to the castle.

This is not a boutique or historic hotel, but it worked just fine and is 4 minutes from the River. Staff was VERY helpful with issues. Breakfast was good but restaurant does NOT serve dinner.
We got a deluxe room with balcony but it was very hot in the afternoons and evenings to sit outside and the chairs were hard to get in and out of.
Good location

A very quaint europian city, clean and safe, with nice avant guard shops , and cool vintage shops, along the regular brands as well, a fantastic art store, great restaurants and an amaizing food and flower market at the weekend.
Very spacious and high level of accommodation in a quiet area just outside the city centre.
It’s much better than a hotel room when staying a week or more.
Air conditioning was a big plus, to keep cool during a heatwave with 35 degrees.
Private parking included.
Very nice and service minded host.
A perfect place to have as a base, to visit the famous lakes and mountains in the north and the caves in south. And only 10 min drive to city centre.
We loved it and highly recommend the place.
We stayed for 4 nights at the Slamic on our recent trip to Slovenia. The location just outside of old town was perfect, on site covered parking was a bonus. We happened to be there on a Friday night so we were able to enjoy Open Kitchen which was quite the scene. Our favorite dinner was at Pri Skofu. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. Slovenia is a beautiful country-wish we had spent one of these nights in the Logar Valley 4 nights in Ljubljana was a lot.
Great hotel, easily accessible and offered both shuttle and taxi service to airport. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was very spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Short walk to Old Town and all the wonderful shops and restaurants. Our flight was early so didn't get to try the breakfast but I feel confident judging by the standards that it would have been great.
Excellent location, close to everything—city centre, large hotels (where I had part of the activities), the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and some of the main tourist spots. It is quiet enough, perfectly clean, and has a great staff. The furniture and equipment are carefully chosen and adequate for a few days' stay.
Hotel location was good with quick walking access to the old city centre, just a few blocks from the bus/train station. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet seemed to provide a nice variety of choices to start the day. Staff in general was very efficient, accesible and responsive to their guests.
The room was just fabulous, the staff very helpful and friendly, the hotel offered drinks, fruit and light snacks throughout the day which was generous and a lovely touch so that we could escape the heat of the city. The hotel was so quiet as well given that it is a city centre location.
Room was spacious enough and clean. it was very close to reception so heard lots of noises during the night, but since we stayed one night it was not a big issue. Very close to city centre! Overall, hotel and staff was very good on everything. Thank you all for having us there.
Hotel Cubo is a beautiful property with a great location. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, breakfast is amazing and delicious and above all else, the staff is incredible! They are all attentive, helpful, friendly and professional.
Lovely hotel in city centre. Very cozy, modern spacious room with comfy beds. Staff is very friendly and polite. Location is excellent as you are few minutes walk away from the most important sites. Breakfast they are serving is delicious.
The apartment is very comfortable, everything is new and clean. It's near the city centre, but in a quiet neighbourhood. The host is very friendly and answers the questions immediately. We were very satisfied.
The hotel is in the heart of the old town of Ljubljana. Great location! The room is small but it’s efficiently laid out and very modern. Very nice bed and bedding.
Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Pleasant and quiet surroundings. Convenient for city centre. Hotel and separate restaurants were both good.
