Tepoztlan is one of Mexico's Pueblos Magicos and as the name implies, it is MAGICAL. it's definitely the most picturesque and beautiful place I've been. The Zócalo (public square) has a market teeming with life and fun artisan goods. The streets are lined with old buildings and traditional handcrafts. The plants flower and the views from wherever you are are breathtaking. It's a quieter town, so don't expect a ton of nightlife, especially on weekdays, but if you're feeling overwhelmed by CDMX, a trip to Tepoztlan is exactly what you need to recharge your batteries. Be sure to stop at Tepoznieves for some ice cream, and grab a Sandia (watermelon) agua fresca from the Zócalo.
If you're a gringo like me, know that very few people will speak English. Learn some Spanish, or download Spanish on Google translate so you can communicate offline. Additionally, the streets are STEEP. my buddy's cheap Chingan rental car literally could not make it up the hills, and we likely killed the clutch on a single hill. Taxis seem to be bulletproof tho, no issues on hills.

Beautiful small town, make sure you wear confortable shoes, no heels, its hard to walk on the streets because they are made out of rocks.
I recomend to start your walk around early because there will be no vendors and you will be able to take the best pictures.
We started early around 7am, there was no vendors, we took some beautiful pictures.

The hotel is stunning, the view is beautiful, the food is amazing. The staff is rude and none responsive. The sheets were dirty. We could hear the people in the room upstairs all night. It is not a quiet place at all. It is impossible to sleep there. Too much noise.

The staff including the owner, Yonatan, went above and beyond. Minerva took care of our room and our breakfast. We were given other options for breakfast at a very minimal price. Minerva went to the extent of taking our clothes to the cleaners. Amazing attention to all our needs!!!
The owner did not like that we asked him to help us look for a place to leave our suitcases and reported me to booking accusing me of being rude. People go to Tepoztlán to go to the market. How can the owner be surprised that we asked for a place to leave our suitcases at 12 pm? It is not possible to walk in the market with luggage!!! There is a spiral staircase that is very tricky to get to the apartment. Avoid this place if you do not want your booking account blocked because of a fake report!!!
The hotel is IMMACULATE. The bedding is extremely comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept in pristine condition, the pool is heated, and it is such a nice, relaxing environment. We were able to extend out checkout to 3pm by paying a fixed rate of 200 pesos per hour (after the 12pm checkout time). This was great for us as we could hang out by the pool on our last day! I'll definitely return with my mother and stepfather in a couple months.
This was a fantastic place to stay. First of all , the house is beautiful and cozy, and has the most comfortable beds I've had. The staff was extremely kind, attentive and their service was exceptional. I am from Peru, but I'd go to tepoztlan just to go there again and eat their amazing sopes (the best sopes in Mexico, by far!!). Delicious breakfast. Thank you so much for the hospitality, the amazing food and being so kind with us!
The location of this hotel is truly amazing. If you book a Deluxe Room with Balcony you have gorgeous views of the mountains, are less than 100 meters from the main part of town, yet are shielded from any noise from the trees and other buildings. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. The family that runs the hotel was incredibly friendly and accommodating to any and all requests.
This hotel is beautiful, boutique and immaculately manicured. It’s so clean and comfortable. The upstairs rooftop dipping pool is picturesque and pristine. The grounds are secure and beautiful. The staff was very warm, helpful and present but not overbearing. The hotels location to the town was also very close and easy to access. I will def be returning here!
Beautiful little hotel with a very relaxed vibe. Clean comfortable rooms, a nice view of Tepozteco from the pool area and simple but very nice food. The staff are super friendly and (unlike a lot of hotels in Tepoztlan), it's a 10 minute walk from the centre of town, so once you've arrived you don't need a car to get around. We'll be back.
The hotel has an absolutely beautiful location on the hillside in Tzepotlan. Total joy to wake up to that view everyday! The breakfast was really delicious - good range of options and even more choice to go a la carte.
We had the best few days here relaxing. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
The bed is very confortable.
The activities are amazing.(Try the Yoga Class)
The view is perfect.
Pro Tip: The reservation with booking doesnt include breakfast.
If you book directly in the hotel's website they include breakfast and some other rooms that are not featured via booking.
The hotel is situated right where you want to be in Tepoztlán. Close to the market, restaurants and the archeological site. Beautiful view and amazing Terrance on top of the hotel.
The staff was super friendly and helping.
The location was great, about 8 minutes walk from downtown, but at night there's almost no lights on the access to the hotel. Is a very peaceful street, and you can rest. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
The view is amazing, the place is really nice, the rooms are very good and private, we were alone in the hotel and that was a plus! They don't have a restaurant, the breakfast is ok, location is very good.
Spectacular landscape, great location, clean and comfy bed. The hotel is a few meters from the main street, half way from the center of the village. Shops, restaurants, everything is close to this place !
The little hotel
Is very pretty the food is really good and the staff very nice they let us checked in early which was perfect because we arrived to Tepoztlan very early , i would definitely go back.
I really liked the magic of this place, amazing view. The stay in this hotel made me feel so relaxed. also thanks to very friendly stuff :)
I need to come again!
This hotel was beautiful, peaceful, clean, in a convenient and quiet location and staff was very friendly and accommodating. I'd definitely stay here again!
