Excellent location, peaceful quiet little town with restaurants within 10 minute walk. Very clean, spacious and well equipped home. Excellent communication by Dario. He was always at hand to help out with directions, questions and suggestions. Very prompt and friendly. We were a multi generational group with kids and never felt crowded or cluttered, the rooms are large and spacious. I would highly recommend this apartment- the views are stunning and communication from Dario is super quick and friendly. Thank you for a very enjoyable week.

Gorgeous location , the view is amazing and the promenade is world class. Our host was very welcoming, great communications, brought us extras such as laundry detergent and water. The apartment is a wonderful base to see the coast. We walked to Marsaxlokk and back, and it’s been one of the most beautiful trails I’ve been to.

TJ Boutique, hotel in Marsaskala

TJ Boutique enjoys a location in Marsaskala, 4 miles from Hal Saflieni Hypogeum and 7.1 miles from Valletta Waterfront.

Very clean and close to the boardwalk an easy walk down one hill and you are next to the ocean which is really nice. The bed was comfortable if a little bit noisy when you move. The balcony was clean, the street bellow can get a little loud but once the balcony door is closed the noise is reduce and it’s easy to sleep. Bathroom was small but it has everything you could need and was cleaned. For 2 people the room was more than enough for the duration of our stay. Very close to the airport, even with traffic on the morning it took about 20 minutes to get there. Owner and staff was very friendly and gave good advice on where to go. Would recommend going to Tiny Mint for good fish and local pasta (very good price too).

Nice place, very good to eat.

Nice place, very good to eat. But Malta in general is nearly full with buildings. So a lot of people, a lot of traffic. Maltese people in general are quite secluded, even though everybody speaks English quite well. If you strike up a conversation with somebody in the street, you can be sure it's a foreign traveler too.

I also spent time in Valletta, Sliema and Gozo. I'm so glad I ended the trip in Marsaskala. It's a lot quieter and more comfortable the other places I stayed. It was the perfect way to wind down and enjoy the harbor, the people and the ambiance of Malta before leaving. And it's also closer to the airport!

We had a week in St Pauls Bay so our 2nd week at Marsaskala was most welcome. A quiet coastal village/small town and off of the main tourist route. Having said that, Valletta is only 20 minutes away and easily reached by bus for 2euros or a Bolt Taxi for about 12 euros. Bolt is superb service and cheaper than white taxis & Uber. We used them quite a bit in our 2 weeks when some buses were full. Marsaxlokk 10 minutes away is well worth a visit, go on Sunday if you want heaving crowds around the market or any other day if you want to enjoy the fishing village with sme 70 fishing boats in the bay, a few market stalls and a very relaxed feel. If you do visit on Sunday, avoid the stall selling 'Maltese' small biscuits & cakes right opposite the village square/Costa Coffee. There are lots of online warnings about him, items are unpriced but when you come to pay you will be ripped off eg. 5 euro for a 2" almond cake. He won't give you a refund if you complain. In Marsaskala, 'Cool Waters' bar has excellent food and very reasonably priced. Orient Market 3 is a big well stocked supermarket with good prices.

We liked St Thomas Bay - wonderful for swimming (there is a small sandy beach and several rocky spots) and for starting your walks (we walked to the village of Marsaxlokk, through very beautiful labdscapes). We found some nice restaurants with very tasty food. The town itself did not look particularly interesting to us, but we only covered a small neighbourhood, so wouldn't know about the rest.

Marsaskala is a busy harbour area for locals.

Marsaskala is a busy harbour area for locals. Some boats but not a lot going in and out. It is not close to a sandy beach. There are a few small supermarkets and several restaurants with different price ranges to choose from. The problem is if you wish to travel by car then it is in part of the urban Valetta area and there are very busy roads to navigate to get in and out.

The room was really clean and comfy, what is more it was really cheap. The Hotel is next to the small beach, St Thomas Bay where travellers can swim in the sea. The location of the Hotel is excellent, there are two bus stations in 1min from there, also Valletta and the three cities are only in 45 min by transportation. There are also variuos shops too in the nearby also restaurants and bars. It is also possible to walk around Marsaskala in 1 hr by following the coastline. The staff was really helpful and consists of great people.

I liked everything! Excellent accommodation, new renovation, everything is clean, own toilet and shower, there is a refrigerator - all the conditions for a comfortable stay. The sandy beach is a 10-minute walk along a straight road, there are bus stops near the place of residence, there are also shops and, of course, a beautiful view of the port and Marsaskala! The owner of the apartment was very friendly and was always in touch! He allowed later check-out due to the fact that the plane was in the evening!

While researching Malta, I liked Marsaskala - it is not as overbuilt as more touristy parts of the island. Village Corner is close enough to the bay and promenade, while offering rural peacefulness. Green space is on premium in Malta - there is a nice view from the living room. There are three bedrooms, each with a wardrobe and: - a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, - a queen-size bed, - a single bed. A well equipped kitchen. Kind and easy to communicate with host.

We stayed at this hotel for a week. Everything was fine, room cleaned everyday, high choice for breakfast ranging from full English to fruits, cereals, cakes…we haven’t used the pool upstairs, yet we went there few times for a beer before dinner. Another appreciated thing was the possibility to park next to the hotel at no charge. The position is at walking distance from restaurants, pubs, beaches…we enjoyed staying here and we highly recommend this place for a holiday to Malta!

The hotel owner was very friendly and engaged, he provided us with a lot of information, tips and gave insight into the local culture. We could really feel that hotel focuses on providing the best experience for our stay. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. There was almost everything we could need and there was paid a lot of attention even to small details. Good location, close to the bus stop, shops and the coast. Thank you for making our stay delightful! :)

Charming and relaxed town - so glad we came to stay! TJ Boutique was a perfect, clean, comfortable way to end our visit in Malta and was less than 20 mins from the airport. We were great location to walk to salt flats and St Thomas bays, we swam in the pool at the near by hotel, we walk all along the waterfront and ate great food. Great communication with friendly managers. In room facilities were clean and generous.

Modern, fully equipped and easily accessible by car (easy to park, too), yet conveniently close (1 km walk) to the Marsaskala harbor, where we had dinner every evening (and then walked back UPhill - but it's not that steep). It was very calm - slept very well. All is new, kitchen fully equipped (did not use), perfect cleanness, modern design - and very spacious, atop of everything. Highly recommended!

The hotel was clean, staff was very nice. Check in/Check out was easy. Breakfast had lots of options. Great wifi service and ATM in the lobby was very convenient. Centrally located from lots of more popular towns. We used bolt app during our stay and many cabs were available within 5 minutes each time we reserved one and no more than 39 mins a trip except to Gozo and the other end of the island.

The suite is beautiful!!! The view is exactly like the picture shown (keep in mind only the suites have this view, the other rooms don’t have the balcony and view). But the place is very clean, the staff is wonderful, allowed us to sit in the lobby and have bfast before it was time to checkin. I highly recommend this property to everyone staying in Marsaskala. Convenience store nearby, close to the center. Very spacious, very clean, large balcony. Host very friendly and super easy to communicate with. Everything you might need. Quiet street and you might even be lucky to find a parking on that street or some parallel ones, which is super rare in Malta.
