The location was fantastic. Next to riverside and local recreation park with lake, fountain and picnic areas.
Hotel was old with lots of charm and atmosphere. Some great decor and paintings. Restaurant had lovely terrace with great views and good traditional food. Our suite was amazing with river and lake views and a huge open plan room.

Panevezys its amazing friend city. Its very easy to get around this city. Have very good restaurants. "Babilonas " shoping market is everything that you need ,you'll find everything from A....to Z .

We liked the central pedestrian area and the area around the lake. A ride on the little train was a bonus. The person at the information was friendly and informative. Some nice restaurants around the main square.

I mostly stayed in the central parts of the town as I had to attend lectures at KTU. The lunches were arranged by the conference, so I did not eat out much, but I found a zander fish with white wine sauce at Kranto gatve that was just finger-licking good! I'm one of those weird people who just cannot stand squat toilets. Unfortunately I had to come across a couple in Panevėžys. I hope they will be gone shortly. Quiet city and as we happened to be there during the heat wave, not a lot of places to go and enjoy the summer night, The reason for our stay was to do a daytrip to Kaunas and then continue our trip back to Latvia.Anna-MariaFinland
