Beautiful, charming, friendly: just a perfect stay. Mattress was too hard to my taste but I asked and they provided a topper and all was then perfect again.

Very nice hotel - we loved our stay and elected to have our evening meals there as great food, service, price and ambience. A little oasis where you can relax after sightseeing.

The room is very large and comfortable. They provide drinking water and toiletries. There's a TV but I didn't watch it so can't comment on the availability of channels. There's plenty of restaurants for good food, shops and atms nearby. The hotel is a 1 minute walk to the bus offices. The tuk tuk driver who offers tours here is great and is very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly.

The interior design was very impressive, with authentic Khmer furniture. The AC was strong and the extra fan helped the ventilation. Water temperature was pleasant. And they have 2 very cute small dogs.

A relatively untouched area of Cambodia, still retaining colonial charm. It lives in the past to some degree, and is the antithesis to the mish mash of Phnom Penh development.
The riverside is still the place to stroll or even exercise, and the surrounding countryside is lovely, with nice views from some of the higher locations.
I ate at the homes of Khmer friends, and we had driven up from PP, so getting around was as easy/difficult as any journey on overcrowded Cambodian roads!

Not one of the top travel spots yet.
Not one of the top travel spots yet. Battambang town doesn't stand out as anything special compared to other places in Cambodia. It doesn't really have anything special, and is very dusty all around.
However, it is ideal for a day trip (max 2 nights) from Siem Reap if you have time.
There are unique experiences that are on the outskirts of town :
1/ Bamboo Train (touristy but still good enough. especially if you can manage to beat the tourist vans in the morning, then it's just you on the train (train ride is about 15 mins each way)
2/ Killing Caves (get there at about 4-430pm, stay for about 30 mins)
3/Bat cave (super cool experience, stay there only for about 30 mins max in the evening

Gave a good feeling of real-life in Cambodia, away from the tourist crowds. The town has a fine old french colonade along the river. Very beautiful. The local market is worth a visit.
Highly interesting are the temples in the surroundings, ex the Banan temple. A visit to some of the commemoration sites also outside the town showing the cruelty of the Khmer Rouge in the nineteen seventies, is a must not to forget what happended.

I homestayed with the O'hamok family - incredible real Cambodian experience. We toured at my pace, I have never experienced this level of relaxation throughout my travels. I only wished I could speak Khmer and or French so that I could have contributed more to conversations but we got by easily with english.
Lay was such a great host. We were welcomed very warmly and he took a lot of care that we had everything we needed! He was very available with anything we needed. Beds and pillows were great and everything was very clean. We very much appreciated having our water bottles filled every day, and he also has some beautiful Buddhas and jewelry. All in all very comfortable and great place to explore Battambang that was a very interesting stop in our cambodia tour. The location is also close to central battambang.
Very nice hotel, at the center of Battambang, but yet in a small street, which made it quiet at night. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. Nice large and comfortable bed ! Supermarket within walking distance, and close to the main touristic places. The staff was very friendly and helped whenever necessary or needed. No possibility to eat (breakfast) at the hotel, but plenty of possibilities in close proximity of the hotel. Thanx for everything & keep on the good work :-)
It was a really stunning old 1930s villa with all the original furniture and fittings- even the light switches! Our bedroom was huge and absolutely beautiful. It felt like more of a home than a hotel, the pool was lovely and we had it all to ourselves, the food (breakfast and simple lunches) was the best we’ve had in all the hotels we’ve stayed in in Cambodia, being home cooked by amazing cooks.
The staff (particularly front desk) were lovely and very helpful
Kim&Sophia&the rest of the staff were very hospitable and kind to chat to. The food both Khmer and Western food was very delicious at the hotel. The rooms are spacious and in traditional khmer style while the hotel grounds are lush and beautifully lit at night.
Battambang is a place to go to get a real Cambodian experience. Perfect place to walk around in the villages and experience the beautiful hearted locals and feel the harmony of the land.
Battambang is an interesting town but very busy and noisy . Coming back to Battambang resort after a tour is like arriving in an oasis of tranquility.
The resort is set in a beautiful garden . The swimming pool is huge with plenty of sun beds to relax . Food is delicious and they use a lot of their own grown vegetables. Staff are so friendly, smiling and helpful.
I will strongly recommend Battambang Resort.
Saro ans his family are incredible hosts and we really enjoy our stay. The place is well situated, in a quiet place, not far from Battambang and close to several beautiful sites to visit.
Saro is really kind and can advise and arrange you some trip around his place to discover Cambodian countryside.
We hardly recommend his home and wish him the best for his project.
We stayed just one night but the hotel is nice, the room was comfortable. It also has a beautiful swimming pool but we didn't have time to use it. The manager of the hotel was very friendly and helpful, he could speak good English, which is not that common in Cambodia. The location is good, in a quiet road.
beautiful hotel, with a great pool in the city center of Battambang. the room was big and clean with a nice bathroom. it was also well decorated. the staff was particularly lovely and helpful. they booked us our boat ride and even made us breakfast at 6am. we would highly recommend this hotel
Comfortable bungalow—large bed, mosquito net, private & super clean bathroom and a quaint front porch for morning coffee! Suvet and his family were super welcoming. We had a great BBQ with them that evening. Perfect if you are looking for an authentic Cambodian homestay. Highly recommend!
Super friendly hotel with lovely staff and nice outdoor space where the neighbors come to enjoy the pool, sing karaoke and have a bunch of beers. Plus the rooms were clean and all. Moreover, the hotel is located in a small quiet street but at walking distance from the center.
The property was cute and charming. It has a lot of Cambodian details in their architecture which was nice. The location was in an area with lots of night life so you don’t need to go far for food or entertainment.
we cannot imagine being treated any more like royalty than we were here, The personal touch on everything they did was incredible, the room was well appointed and cozy, you might have the best mattress in Cambodia,
The hotel itself is exceptionally beautiful. There are dark wood accents every which provide a very warm and elegant atmosphere. The breakfast offerings are extremely varied and delicious.
Lovely boutique hotel. You can walk to restaurants but the streets are pretty dark and the choice within walking distance is limited. We were very glad that we had a car to get around.
Beautiful resort in the city but you feel like somewhere in the amazing garden. Great swimming pool, very good food, nice and helpful staff. Great value for money!
