Top, i loved this place.
Calm, friendly immersed in a beautiful Garden.
Staff were exceptionally nice.
Peacful Island life. Huge swimming Pool, breakfast with spectacular views. Great rooms each with its own private terrace.
The Garden is just 100 metres from the volcanic sands of Ponente Beach on Vulcano Island. This renovated 1970s building with garden boasts a traditional Aeolian style.

We were provided alternative accommodation at Mari del Sud as the garden hotel had closed early for renovations. The staff were fantastic and available to help promptly with any questions, including port pick up and drop off. The location was walking distance from the center and port. The rooms were traditional, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was well varied.
Therasia Sea and SPA is set on the peninsula of Vulcanello, with views of the Aeolian Islands. This impressive building in white stone features a modern spa, and a private access to the sea.
Located in a small pine wood, the hotel is 350 metres from Isola di Vulcano's main bay and 1 km from the thermal spa. The scheduled hotel shuttle takes guests to and from the port, 1.5 km away.

The staff here are absolutely amazing, we were immediately made to feel like VIPs. The layout of the hotel was great for us as you don't feel at all crowded in with other guests. The rooms are nicely spaced out and offer a nice feeling of privacy. The pool is bigger than it looks in the pictures and perfectly clean and maintained at all times. Some people might worry about the volcanic smell of sulphur but we never had that within the hotel, we only noticed the smell once we got closer to the port which is about a 5 minute walk away. Cannot recommend this place enough, of all the places I've stayed, this is the one that I would be happy to book again. The breakfast was delicious and varied, changing slightly each day. The lunch menu was also very impressive, we had lunch at the hotel most days. Really easy access to both beaches. Just overall perfect, no complaints!

Very friendly staff. The pool was a pleasant extra. Breakfast was very basic, but much better than the expected "one croissant with coffee" assumed after reading comments 🙂.. Excellent location between the town / bubbling sea bath and the crater.
Located just a few minutes walk from the port, this friendly hotel is situated in front of the fine black sands of Ponente bay on the picturesque island of Vulcano

Best location on the island, right on the black beach. Delicious piizza restaurant on site. Cool air con.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Vulcano this weekend is SEK 1,101 or, for a 4-star hotel, SEK 1,415. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Vulcano for this weekend cost on average around SEK 6,761 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
On average, it costs SEK 811 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Vulcano for tonight. You'll pay on average around SEK 1,131 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Vulcano will cost around SEK 5,157 (based on Booking.com prices).
Vulcano has a lovely laid-back vibe. Everyone, from Maurizo (he has a restaurant not far from the supermarket - completely recommend it) is friendly but not over-friendly. The volcano is fascinating to climb, fumaroles fascinating to observe and the beaches are fascinating to frequent, with their sparkling black sands, and even the semi-feral cats are well-cared for.
The mud-baths are great but also a bit feral at the moment - I think they are going to upgrade them ... wear flip-flops around the edges and be careful not to tread where the bubbles are as feet can get scorched ...

We recommend the restaurant La Isla, great pasta in huge portions, you can easily share one plate and have a secondo piatto. The 40 mins walk uphill to Valley dei Mostri is a total waste of time as there are only 2 or 3 rocks vaguely ressembling animals. The place is desolate and depressing. We never found the entrance to the Vulcanello as it is not posted. Equally uninterresting is the Agua calda beach. The water is vaguely tepid at best, the water blurry and the bottom rocky. It is a tourist trap to rent chairs and umbrellas. The La Baia Negra beach is infinitely better. The tour of the island by bus is a delight but a bit expensive at 30 euros per person for an hour, but since there is nothing else to do and the alternative is to rent a car or a scooter - but there is nowhere to go, apart from small Geco, since everything is located around the port. The walk to the volcano has been closed for nearly a year because of excessive gasses. The mud baths are also closed. So, you come to Vulcano for the beach, the scenery, and Giuliana !

It’s a special place as the island is a volcano.
It’s a special place as the island is a volcano. The surrounding is very special, black sand and lots of fishes to see. It’s much more expensive than Sicily and quite touristic. It’s great for diving and has a great diving center.
Not the classic beach you might be thinking of and has a strong smell of sulfur.
Gorgeous view and beautiful sea

One of our favourite islands.
One of our favourite islands. Beautiful, easy to access beaches. Hiking the volcano and kayaking the coves were our highlights. Check out Malvasia and Maurizio’s for amazing food. We visited in September which was perfect- very relaxed, although I imagine in high summer it could get quite busy. If we’d stayed longer than 4 days we would have hired a car of boat to reach the rest of the island.

You have to walk on the roads and compete with cars and overflowing plants from peoples gardens.
The cars don't slow down much and leave inches to spare with the people when overtaking. I found it quite scary and wondered what the accident rate was on the island.
Vulcano Blu is a fantastic residence, I highly recommend it. The apartment was spacious, clean and modern and situated in nice quiet gardens.
The staff are all kind and very helpful and speak English as well.
The infinity pool area and little beach down below is lovely.. you can watch the aliscafi (hydrofoils) coming and going from the small port. Also the cafe at the pool is great for breakfast and you can eat lunch there too - so no need to go to the town centre if you don't feel like it !
Overall a lovely stay, thank you!
Everything was fantastic! Set on a hill, surrounded by pine trees, Villa Crimi is a peaceful and quiet place, just a short walk away from Vulcano Porto, with a beautiful private terrace, a charming room with renovated bathroom facilities; breakfast is served on the terrace. A great family-run place; the owner was very kind and attentive and picked me up at the port on arrival and brought me back to the port at the end of my stay. Highly recommended — grazie mille e alla prossima!

The room was beautiful, the view, the location just perfect. It was clean and the staff was nice. The breakfast is nice and the terrace is amazing. We got a free upgrade, just because they had the bigger room available, it was very nice of them! We very much enjoyed our stay, the hotel is peaceful and beautiful. The room with the kitchen was very well equipped.
The hotel was super clean, and the staff was agreeable. We enjoyed the swimming pool. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices. We also had dinner at the restaurant, and it was excellent. The location is not super central but the hotel has a shuttle bus that takes you to the harbour or if you like to walk, it's just 20/25 minutes walk.
- the room was very clean
- the hotel is very close to the port and they provided transfer from/to the port at no extra cost
- the staff was very friendly and helpful
- the breakfast was delicious with various food
- the sunbeds and umbrellas from the hotel are free of charge
- they gave us very good recommendations for restaurants nearby
La Giara is a beautiful calm place to enjoy the staying at vulcano . Is super well located, from the port is just a 10 min walk. The chamber was clean, comfortable and beautiful and Freddy was super polite and willing to give good advices for make your staying even more perfect. Highly recommended place :)
Amazing roof terrace with great view of the two most beautiful places on the island: the vulcano and the black beach. It's a quiet place, short walk from the port and just about 30 meters from the beach. The host really makes you feel you're welcome, whis is a rare thing nowadays.
The hotel staff advise us in advance with pick up service from the port which is really helpful as we have many luggages.
The infinity swimming pool is beautiful with amazing view that the main reason I booked this hotel and didn’t disappoint me at all !
The hotel is beautiful, with nice views, and the land has lots of fruit trees and birds. Francesca, the owner, was very kind and helpful. We loved our breakfast of fresh-squeezed orange juice, coffee, and pastries.
Great location just 200 m from the path to Vulcano, also close to the port and centre, very kind hosts always for disposal and very helpful, great breakfast with big choice of food
Marco, the host, was fantastic. Recommended things to do. Reserved a place for dinner. Very welcoming and charming. Provided transfers from and to the hotel.
