The location is close to a few of the local towns and there is a swimming pool (wasn’t open while we were there but it looked great for kids, shallow at the edges and big enough to play in.) The room (apartment) is huge, two double bedrooms and a nice sized bathroom and living area)

very good location, panoramic view of the city, mountains. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, good breakfast, very tasty coffee. You can order lunch - it was inrcedible, we ordered it every day during our stay, I recommend. Incredibly responsive and kind hosts, left a very pleasant impression of the stay.

The room was just in front of the train that was very convenient. It was big, comfortable, quiet and very clean. But the best thing was the politeness and sense of humanity of the hosts. My train had a 40 minutes delay and I also missed my stop. The hosts offered to come and pick me up from the next stop 20km away, at night. I will never forget that.

Scalea is a historic town, so besides the beach and the sun you can also discover its historical charm. The town is rugged. Don't be afraid of gentle hills ( almost all towns in Italy are like this).

Lovely beach town with good restaurants. la Piazzaetta is a favorite of the locals who entertained us on open-mike night. Antica Trattoria a Taverna is a long walk uphill to the old town. We had half liter of vino bianco locale with the shared special antipasti served with bread which was very filling. The pasta dishes that followed were delicious but we should have shared that too. Best not to visit Scalea in July or August when it is very crowded. We visited in mid-September and had a very nice time.

Scalea is a warm and friendly town.
Scalea is a warm and friendly town. The restaurants are abundant and serve outstanding Calabrian cuisine. The beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world. If you are traveling with a young family, there is much to do...not to mention how safe Scalea feels.

The historic district is like stepping back in time - ancient homes and pathways...and lots of stairs to climb. Not for those with difficulty walking. The downtown area and beaches offer plenty of places to stop for a cappuccino and something sweet, a quick pizza or a delicious extended meal.

Lovely old town.
Lovely old town. The old historical part of the town offers a lot more character & charm than the beach front boardwalk (which was often dirty and rubbish not collected). Definitely worth walking up to the old Castle for the view. Great restaurants in the old town Il Tari and La Rondinella.
1. Great location, 5 minutes from a very decent beach
2. Cozy flat and furniture, very pleasant stay and wonderful evenings with a glass of wine on the balcony. We liked overall marine Italian style of the flat
3. AC and dishwasher, this is really cool, saves time and adds comfort
4. It's really easy to get the fresh air, when you open all the windows the whole flat breathes instantly
5. The building itself in a good state comparing to a lot of old buildings in Scalea
6. Owner was very polite and answered all the questions really quickly
The hotel is perfectly located, but Google Maps gives misleading instructions. When it asked you to turn right from the highway to reach your destination, take the SECOND right DOWN, not the first one up. The difference is literally 10 m, but the second turn is not very well lit, which cost us about 10 min of extra driving into a scatchy area at night.
The staff is super-nice and friendly, including staff in the restaurant with good sense of humor.
Great communication with the host Boris, who met us and gave us the keys. Clean appartment, with parking inside gate and walking distance to everything in Scalea. Both Interspar and Conad (larger grocery stores) are 5 minutes walk away and so is a very nice bakery (La Casa del Pane). The appartment is very well equipped, with everything you may possibly need in the kitchen. Great internet connection as well. Quiet and safe area.
It is a beautiful old Villa on a large parcel of land in town. The size of the room was awesome, bed was very comfortable, location was great to town and to the beach. Staff was excellent and was very helpful when we had questions. The bathroom looked like it had been recently remodeled and was beautiful. The terrace was good size but unfortunately it was too cold that day/night to use. Breakfast had a lot of options.
the hotel is absolutely amazing. it’s located in a 5-min walk to the beach and the sea. the hotel is well-equipped and has all neccessities for your stay: wi-fi, AC, parking. when you enter the hotel there is an area with tables, coffee machine, tea kettle, plates, cutlery and is free to use. this hotel is cleaned daily. the staff of the hotel is extremly friendly and helpful
Excellent place for stay in Scalea. Very opened and friendly properties owners, they assist you all you need for comfort relax in destination. Home made food for dinner was really good, up to me it is much better, than you go to trattoria. Picturesque filling to be in sea view opened terrace with typical local wine.
We had a really great experience! The staff were so kind, welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond the standard to make sure we were comfortable and had a great trip in Scalea. The location was great, the room was nice and air conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Very nice place and friendly, hepful and professional staff. Accomodation modern and clean. To hotel, belongs nice beach bar, where they serve, breakfest, and you can spent nice time, during all day. I strongly recommnd this accomodation.
Location in a picturesque square in the Centro Storico of Scalea was perfect - we got to see sunset every night overlooking the town. Gino, our genial host, picked us up from the station and was on hand at all times.
it was a well equipped apt. Beautiful view of the town, mountains & sea from the bedroom window. Very quiet area due to a lot of climbing & descending old stone steps to get to centre of town and beach.
Location is very good, Very close to central part of Scalea. Host was very helpfull, The apartment is not very big BUT it was ideal for me for a one week break in Scalea. Very happy will stay there again
The villa is very beautiful, the host(esses) were incredibly nice and the location is perfect. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Scalea
Clean rooms. breakfast was excellent and staff at the hotel and Lido were exceptional! A big thank you to Simone who took care of us at the Lido bar! Close to everything !!
