Loano is my favorite place in Italy. It is a relaxed little town with everything you need. Good resturants, nice beaches and nightlife. There is also hiking possibility and you can visit the caves. The pool on the roof was much needed on the hot day we turned up, it was very cold but was fun with it's jacuzzi & water jets. Restaurant was good too, a lot of fish on the menu (no surprise) and good portion sizes. Nice chef explained in English for us too what to expect. Great location/views being actually at sea almost, and free parking was a nice bonus.

With a couple of pizzerias just down the road and Loano town centre about 3min drive. (Parking may be a hassle at times) However, Pietra ligure, finale ligure and the surrounding locations are also worth visiting.
