Everything is good but the door in the washroom which leads outside is letting cold air push through therefore it felt cold to shower.

The isolated location was great. This also is a con though when trying to find the place. Just make sure you don't wait until nightfall to find it, and you'll be good.

Centre of Fludir has grocery store, a gas station and 2 hotels - all four located very closely across the street. So we could get full tank of gadoline to drive further and wr had really good breakfast in hotel, but for the evening got some food in the shop. We didn't spend much time there and sayed only for one night driving through from one destination point to anothes as we dind't find any interesting object to visit in this town.

Fludir is a small village/town along Golden Circle. Perfect to break up your road trip to take more time to explore more of the area. Our kids loved the Fludir park with giant bouncy pad and zip line. We loved the delicious, authentic Ethiopian restaurant -Minilik, just a few minutes drive from the B&B.

I have stayed in Fludir several times- there really isn't anything to see here (aside from the Secret Lagoon which is great)! Dining options are also pretty limited.
I usually stay to be close to other things I want to see- it is close enough to KEF and Reykjavik to make both easy drives and also very close to the Golden Circle and Gulfoss to get an early start and beat the hoards of visitors coming in from the city for the day.

The biggest draw to Fludir is The Secret Lagoon, a geothermal pool fed by a spouting geyser. The facilities are fairly new and clean... and the lagoon itself is "to die for," very warm and relaxing.
I would highly recommend staying at the small guesthouse located on site - Garður Stay Inn. There is a kitchen, living room/lounge area, information table and a good sized shared bathroom, but only 4 rooms, so in-season it will fill up fast. We visited just past peak season, so had the guesthouse to ourselves!
My only "negative" would be the lack of open restaurants in the area.

We had limited time in Fludir.
We had limited time in Fludir. We did the tourist thing at the Tomato Farm and had a delicious pricy meal, and picked up some groceries and fuel. It looked nice. The hotel restaurant was good and the Ethiopian Restaurant was being renovated and may be a good alternative in the future. The town is well located to be a base for which to explore many standard tourist activities and even more challenging adventures for those that seek more.
Loved it here. The area is outside of Fludir but close enough to drive to restaurants and grocery store. Generally we were too tired to go out after exploring and hiking all day but thought the restaurants were great in this area. Was a large and comfortable cottage. Had everything you needed for a stay and host living nearby. Of course we made excellent use of the hot tub. Had a soak twice a day.
The nicest apartment or hotel room of our stay in Iceland. The bedroom was large, the bathroom was huge and modern, living room more than spacious. Plus a terrace outside! The kitchen was well appointed, so it was very easy to make our breakfasts during our stay. Even though this was the least expensive apartment or hotel during our stay, it was the largest and most luxurious!
The bed are really comfy, and the heated floor was extremly nice.
Breakfast is "buffet" style, with lot of options and a great quality.
The hotel managing the guesthouse was just across the street, and it was possible to use all the services of the hotel guest, included the hot tub, where the hotel staff provided us with ropes and towels.
The apartment is big, comfortable, clean and locates very well. You can go to geysir or gullfoss in 20 mins, also easy to reach the small shop, petrol station and some restaurants around Fludir. The environment is very calm. only a little pity that the weather was not so good during our stay, so we cannot use hot tub which is very special.
Very unique and cool accommodations- I was especially impressed after looking at the book available in the 5th floor tower that details the years of hard work it took to convert the farm building into the hotel/apartment units. What a treat to be able to stay here on my journey through Iceland. I only wish I had spent more time!
wonderful location, very close to secret lagoon,
fludir, and several other attractions. The house was quiet and comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with all the tools we needed to make dinner. supplies for breakfast and coffee were available and perfect. the view from the sitting room wa every pleasant.
A lovely small guesthouse run by a nice couple. 5 rooms, super clean, 2 km to Fludir village and to the Sevret Lagoon. A must! The kitchen very well equipped, quiet at night, beautiful hills around. do not hesitate to stay there.
The hotel in general is very good when considering the price. The staff are the jewel in the hotel's crown. They are very friendly, helpful and seem to work very hard. The location is excellent. The food is very good.
It’s close to the secret lagoon and it offers free breakfast. They tried to make gluten free salad and desert for my son. The didn’t charge for the desert. Very nice receptionist and waiter.
