LOCH CONNELL LODGE rooms 1 2 3 4 5, hotel in Bunbeg

Situated just 17 km from Mount Errigal, LOCH CONNELL LODGE rooms 1 2 3 4 5 features accommodation in Letterkenny with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen.

The Loch Connell Lodge is a beautiful, spacious and relaxing property nestled in the gorgeous Donegal Countryside. The rooms and beds are really comfortable, and the property was really well catered, included items from breakfast, washing facilities, different areas to relax and some nice outdoor spaces for when the weather is nice. The place is well signposted from the road, and offered a lot of space for parking if you've taken a car. You'll be sharing with other guests, but the house is big enough to not feel cramped, and everyone when we were there was very pleasant and polite. John was a brilliant host, checking in regularly to see how we were and offering advice on the local area.

The last time I stayed in Bunbeg was 12 years ago and it has become very run down with quite a few places closed but this would also be impacted by the restrictions etc due to Covid. It's fine if you want to get away from it all.

We loved everything about Bunbeg, lovely coastal area with a fabulous stunning large beach. Where Bad Eddie's boat wreck is a must to see. We dined at Sean Og bar and restaurant - fabulous food. You can visit Gola Island, Cruit Island is nearby too. Walking will give you plenty of beautiful scenery. Just loved it.

This region has stunning coastal scenery and inland the rocky moorland is a great walking area. Be prepared for bad weather. It is not called the “Wild Atlantic Coast” for nothing. The Donegal airport has been voted the most scenic landing approach in the world.

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for our recent stay at Teac Campbell Guesthouse in Donegal. Our experience was truly exceptional, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay in this area. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the exceptional hospitality I received from the hosts. Their friendliness, warmth, and genuine care for their guests were truly remarkable. We had a lovely stay at Martina’s cottage. The cottage was very presentable throughout and had everything we needed for a short stay. Lots of nice touches including fresh bread, treats and cupcakes from the bakery which we really appreciated! The cottage was exceptionally clean and a lovely space outside with a barbecue to enjoy the great weather we had. The location is rural but convenient and an excellent base if wanting to explore Gweedore and Mount Errigal/local beaches.

This was a great place to stay, nestled in Bunbeg Harbour. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. There were no restaurants nearby but they did offer to drive us (we walked about 20 minutes). We had a very special evening of music at a nearby pub (10 minutes away), ‘Teach Hiudi Beag’ that was the highlight of our bicycle tour through Ireland (5 1/2 weeks). Check it out if you are in the area; they play Monday and Friday.

Great place to stay in Bunbeg. The house is worth a visit in itself and the room has everything you need as well, including a fantastic view to the sea. Also, could not have been treated better by the family running the guesthouse. They did everything and more to help us and make us feel at home while visiting this nice little town.

The location is lovely, situated right on the harbour a minutes drive from Bunbeg village. Beautiful sunset in Bunbeg. The room and hotel is a bit dated (wouldnt turn me off), the food and service was excellent. Had dinner in "Leos", home to Clannad which was lovely in these Covid times.

This is a small hotel; not my idea of a B&B. The room and shower were small. The furnishings worn. Adding to the disappointment in the facility, there were very limited dining options in the area. The village has seen better days.
