The owner and his wife were very kind and generous. He told us how to get around the island and gave good tips for restaurants etc. The property has lots of flowering trees and is surrounded by vegetable- and fruit-growing areas and chickens. You have a view up to the monastery and Chora, and it's very close to the port. We were able to use the hotel as a base waiting for the evening ferry.

Skala is delightful, but Patmos overall is incredible.
Skala is delightful, but Patmos overall is incredible. We visited the beautiful village of Chora, the monastery of St John, the windmills, and the spiritual cave of the Apocolypse, where John wrote the book of Revelation in the Bible. All was achieved in one day by taxi from Skala. The entire trip was from the island of Kos by ferry, with a 2 night stay in Skala. Well worth it. Wonderful !! Two beautiful islands in one holiday !!

Visit to monastery amazing. Beach at Kampos very relaxing. Shopping expensive. Plenty of restaurants with lots of choices. Grigos has a lovely restaurant on the shore. Easy to hire a car and can also access most places by bus.

There are many paths that appear to be footpaths but are actually roads. Once you are aware of this, it makes it easier to travel with a scooter, which I recommend. these paths are also great to get around by foot and it is a nice walkable area.

Pleasant, very typical Greek port town, with meandering streets and reasonably restrained tourism. Some great restaurants. Easy access to the famous monastery by bus, and the cave where John supposedly wrote the Book of Revelation; also easy bus access to some great beaches (and some not so great). Well worth a short visit, but not if your preference is for boisterous nightlife.

A very nice compact town with a lovely array of shops, restaurants and bars. Beautiful harbour and a stunning hora above the main town. We were there in the 3rd week of September and the buses were still running. Netia restaurant at the far end of town was our favourite, followed by Pantelis. Best beach accessible by bus was Kampos.

Skala is a lovely place to visit.
Skala is a lovely place to visit. Hiring a car made a difference and we were able to travel around. Stefonos did hire cars and bikes at reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this property.
Owner and his wife very pleasant and accommodating
This is a very centrally located hotel run by a family. Jerry and his father are passionate about their business and you feel this every moment. Rooms are nicely arranged with access to garden and privacy and with a lot of space inside. We got figs at our garden table every morning and got very good tips from Jerry when we needed to move around in Patmos. We would definitely come again at our next trip.
Breakfast was excellent very good hotel very clean from ferry 10 mn main bus station and restaurant very near 5 mn this hotel must be 3 three star hotel all personnel was helpfull very gently and the architectiral design of building was perfect with balcony and little garden congratulation for owner
The position is really good for visiting the island and for getting out by night in Skala. Recommended a swim, especially early in the morning, in the beach in front of the house . Room was big and also the balcony. Really lovely staff. I would definetely came back here to stay in Patmos
Hotel Elia is a nice place to stay in Skala , the "thin part" of Patmos near the port.
The lady that runs Elia is really kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet is complete and can be taken to the nice garden.simple beach is nearby. Recommended
The location in Skala is ideal for arriving in Patmos late at night (or anytime) and easily getting to the hotel. It's very near the port, but ideally located in a quiet area of Skala. The place is a little oasis run by a wonderful couple.
Very easy access to all Skala's restaurants and shops. The property has a pool bar as well where they serve drinks up to 23:00. The service is genuine and all staff very kind and available. Probably one of the best place in Skala.
The staff was really helpful and nice, we got a lot of good advice and they helped us with everything. The located was great Close to the harbour and the view was beautiful. Its not the modern hotel but we really liked it.
Sofia, the manager is super friendly and helpful. She picked us up from the port by car. We had the best room in the hotel with a super romantic balcony. Spacious and very clean room. They cleaned the room everyday.
The room had fresh sheets and towels every morning. The local is absolutely ideal. For the money you can't beat this hotel. I am fully satisfied, highly recommended for those traveling on a budget.
Excellent staff. Jacob was very helpful and showed us many things to do on Patmos. The price is very reasonable and the location is perfect (very close to the port and city center).
