Staff was very welcoming. Sent us directions by text as we journeyed up to ensure that we didn't miss the turn into the property (which is not that easy to spot) - made us a pot of tea on arrival - and had whisky available as a nightcap in the drawing room for free. House itself is large and with eclectic collections of antiques on show. Situated in its own grounds and so a pretty quiet location.

Liz was very helpful and made everything so quick and easy.
We can't wait to come back soon
There is nothing to see in Whitburn. It is rundown.
There is nothing to see in Whitburn. It is rundown. Lots of fish and chip shops! There are no decent restaurants close by. The Best Western Hillcroft is supposed to have a good restaurant I found the food awful there. The bar is nice and the staff are friendly. There is nothing to do in Whitburn.

Lovely wee town and we traveled from Belfast Northern...
Lovely wee town and we traveled from Belfast Northern Ireland for 4 days to visit my daughter who's living there now absolutely loved it beautiful place and handy with the buses to get to and from lots of places even to the train station would definitely recommend a home from home feel and less busier than main city's
We had a function event over the whole weekend , the managment and staff were superbly proffesional and went out of there way in support to our events commitee and to our guests staying at the hotel , who also remarked how good they were supported , during the weekend , From Managment, reception staff , Bar Staff ,Waiters and maitenance staff , delivered a service the hotel should be very proud of their staff , outstanding job done !! WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN NEXT YEAR !
This was the only hotel within walking distance of the relatives that we'd gone to visit. Its pretty much central to Whitburn and the room was pretty big, with an ensuite bath & shower. Free on site parking was available also. Free bottled water and room tea/coffee/milk replenishment was available 24/7. A room fan was available, if it got too hot (no A/C in rooms). Staff really approachable. Good bar and plentiful staff.
The staff were very friendly and helpfull the hotel is well situated with the train station only 4 miles away for easier access in to edinbrough or glasgow . this hotel was always kept clean by its staff specially by the two lads behind the bar the breakfast is very good with a good choice .there is ample parking spaces.
The hotel was clean, fresh and well equipped. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.the room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable.
We had dinner and breakfast during our stay and both were very nice. We will definitely stay here again.
the location was convenient after a late night flight into Edinburgh airport. the distance to the hotel was about 14 miles and as we were heading towards Glasgow the following morning so it gave us a head start.
The size of the room was really impresive, a lot of space for bags and walking around them. A lot of parking spaces around the hotel. I did like a location - midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
