Nice and cosy caravan. We enjoyed our stay very much. Unfortunately it rained, so we didn't get to see so much of the surroundings.

Royal Victoria Hotel Snowdonia, hotel in Llanrug

At the foot of Mount Snowdon, The Royal Victoria Hotel is cradled between the lakes Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris. Bedrooms have baths, showers, tea and coffee facilities and Freeview TVs.

Breakfast was nice and you got plenty to eat and drink, though the wife was dissapointed there where no pastries this time we stayed. Was was clean and tidy, thought the cleaning stff didnt make the bed on our second night for some reason i presume they where short staffed. The location is excellent for Snowdon, but the train was fully booked every day so book online well in advance. The coast North and West is in easy striking distance and well worth visiting.

A really stunning house. Beautiful pictures and paintings on the wall. It is like stepping back in time and staying in a house from over a 100 years ago. Everything is immaculate and authentic. The orangery is an amazing space as well if you want to hold a party or a big group of friends.

Small village but two small supermarkets ,an excellent Butcher/Deli and a fish and chip shop which we didin't use. People in the village very nice and location is superb for visits to Anglesy and close enough to Caernarvon.

The Llanrug area is a good base to get to the surrounding scenic areas. It is ideal to get north to coastal towns also across to the Isle of Anglesey. The Snowdonia mountains are within easy reach and further south there are more coastal towns ie Pwllheli to Portmadoc.

We stayed in Llanrug but travelled to various places so can’t really say much about the village. The hotel was lovely were we stayed.. it’s about 25 min drive to Snowdon railway station and Betws-y-Coed is 45 min drive where we did most of the sightseeing.

Situated on road between Lanberis and Caernarvon.

Situated on road between Lanberis and Caernarvon. About 3.5 miles from Lanberis, so not a short walk but far enough to not have the crowds of Lanberis. Good proximity if you intend to travel on Welsh Highland Railway. Good location for quieter less extreme walking and cycling. Facilities are not as plentifull as the more established tourist areas.
