The staff were fantastic and the location for our trip was amazing, the room was very quaint with beams and uneven floors fitting of a building from 1642, There were a few cosmetic issues but this did not detract from the experience, I would highly recommend this facility, the pub and food were extremely good as well.

Amy from reception was amazing, very accommodating, and helped us throughout. Also had an issue with the room and sofa bed but was moved immediately and accommodated into another room. The guy who delivered the roll-up bed was also amazing, and was very quick at bringing it to the room.

The room was comfortable and the bed was great.
The room was comfortable and the bed was great. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The bar area was great but small and crowded (we picked a busy time) The big disappointment was the food - Sunday evening meal was bad, very dried out mash, rock hard roast potatoes and a completely inedible Yorkshire pudding (obviously the last meal of the Sunday lunches). The chicken pie was good. The breakfast was awful.

Nothing to like. Toilets dirty, room not that clean, food menu for evening meal poor and we were very ill after eating it. Charged £26.50 for breakfast when only had toast due to being ill all night. Lovely place.
Lovely place. Having read some of the reviews l was concerned about the hotel as taking Grandson for his birthday to Harry Potter World, but the hotel was great. There was a lovely pub just down the road where we went for meal.AAnonymous

The hotel offered a very good breakfast and lunch, with a wide variety of dishes that were both delicious and satisfying. The facilities were well-maintained and added to the comfort of our stay. The location of the hotel was a major highlight, being in close proximity to the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studios. Staff were lovely . Bed comfortable and all clean linen. Walls to adjoining room a bit thin so noise carried. Shower was a bit of a struggle , but all in all for the price and location it was fantastic. Wish we'd had breakfast option , not available weekdays. However having a bar was great for the evening!!

It was very convenient for WB studios. We also did a short day trip to London and it was very close to both Watford Junction and King's Langley station (20 mins on fast train). Also very close to M25/M1

The hotel itself was a historical building with beautiful pub/restaurant downstairs offering traditional British meals which were very tasty. The staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was really good. There was a selection of traditional breakfast dishes on the menu and there also were toasts, jams and cereals to have. The room price is quite affordable.
