We booked a treat as have two birthdays in December. My husband, me and my son stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the reserve.
Customer service was really good and the room we had was just lovely, very clean and the most amazing bath that you could lie down in - a bonus for tall people!
We had breakfast included as part of our package and it was delicious.
As part of the stay, we had entry to the reserve on the day of check in and also on the day of check out - you could choose Howlett's if you wanted instead - the use of a golf buggy during our stay and an included safari ride.
We took advantage of the black Friday deal and got up close and personal to a rather gorgeous rhino - the keeper was so knowledgeable and friendly and clearly enjoyed his interaction with the animals.
All in all an amazing experience and we would love to go back.
Thank you also to the hotel for recognising our two birthdays and putting birthday cards in our room - a very nice touch!

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Building is over 300 years old and has fantastic character. Location was great—at the end of the little street of shops. If looking for a pub experience, highly recommend.

Quiet little seaside town, not much to do on the beachfront when you compare it to other places like Brighton or Hastings, but if you are looking for a peaceful get away Hythe is lovely. Some nice pubs and restaurants aswell as lovely local shops. All the people we met were very polite and friendly.

The hotel and its comfort are the main attraction. There is a Waitrose and Sainsbury nearby and all the attractions are no more than 30 mins away so great as a base for Dungeness, Romney, Rye, Dover and Ramsgate.

Hythe is a typical seaside venue. older persons asset rich cash poor pretty town . lovely architecture and church . shops from the 70s it would appeal to those wanting attractive walks and the Hythe and Dymchurch railway , the lighthouses etc . My 11 year old son and I enjoyed it very much for two days.
The room air-conditioner was broke so the room was extremely hot for 2 nights and nothing was done until the night before we left so we had no time to move room due to having plans and duty manager Julie explained this now was our fault, which is extremely upsetting to us with no help compensation or apology.
Some The leisure facilities were out of use but no mention of this before arriving to the hotel as apparently the leisure facilities arnt the hotel responsibility!!
(This should be clearly stated when advertising the hotel)
I have stayed a few times in the Hythe Imperial over the last 30 years and not once have I been disappointed. The staff are super friendly, the airconditioned rooms are very clean , quiet and comfortable and the bed is perfect for a good night's sleep! I do not eat much for breakfast but the buffet style breakfast had everything that your heart desired, hot or cold. Can highly recommend a stay in this hotel which is right next to the English Channel.
The breakfast was freshly prepared and all in all the accommodation represented good value for money. We particularly chose it because of the location in a village outside of Hythe, and therefore quieter, and because it was not far from the wedding venue of Port Lympne Hotel and Safari Park. Parking, although off-site, was problem free just outside and by the village green across from the inn. The owner was particularly welcoming.
This is a delightful hotel situated near the coast in the lovely town of Hythe. The furnishings are beautifully chosen and retro, which gives the stay some character. It's at the end of the high street, so an easy walk into town or down to the beach.
Jamie is a fantastic host and a great source of stories and local knowledge.
I would definitely stay again to explore the town further and drink a pint with him!
The location, the staff were amazing, nothing was to much trouble, especially as we had a couple of room issues.
The renovations will be amazing when completed. But there are lots of places local to grab food and room supplies so all good.
The price was fantastic and we would definitely stay again.
Just remember it is a budget hotel and well worth a visit.
The staff was quick to respond when I arrived a little earlier than planned. The location is perfect for walks around Hythe; to the shops, cafes and the beautiful church as well as through the park to the beach. Parking is just around the corner (paid during the day).
The rooms were exceptional and very clean. Furthermore, there was a spa including a pool. The hotel faces the seaside, so the views are beautiful. In addition, it is close to the central street of Hythe where there are a lot of nice things to do.
Lovely chalet type accommodation within easy walking distance of Hythe centre and further down to the sea front. A comfortable stay with everything I needed to cook a meal. Very convenient parking at the front of the main property.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, it was quiet but we were out of season. We had booked to be near Hythe High Street (for a friend's birthday celebrations) and the location was very convenient.
Perfect location for Le Shuttle. Walked into Hythe which was a lovely town. We had bikes on the back of the car and were able to store these safely overnight. It was so much nicer than a stay in a hotel.
The facility is right on the beach, and close to downtown, which is a pleasant collection of small shops. Staff was very helpful. The town is worthy h a visit. I’ll include this hotel on my next visit.
Hotel lovely, staff great. Buffet breakfast a bit hectic. Unfortunately ac on floor not working so too hot. Staff were fab and brought fans to try and cool down.
