Really friendly welcoming hotel, very accommodating nothing was too much trouble. Arrived early to drop bags and was offered an early check-in. On checkout day the hotel looked after our bag all day, so we didn't have to carry it around all day.

Location was great for everything we wanted to do, breakfast was hit and miss and the room we stayed was OK- had the air conditioner breaking down but the staff were on it asap. There was NO fridge in the room so very difficult to keep the milk or anything that needed a fridge for it!
The Pearl Cow restaurant is a definite must to visit- amazing dinner!!
Loved location, peaceful and immaculate site. Lovely spot to sit out. Easy to get to York and a few minutes walk to village. Loved it. Great fish n chips in village, good Co-op for essentials. Visited Balloon Tree along road. Great cafe, shop and pick your own fruit. Best strawberries I’ve ever had. Headed to Designer Outlet on the only day it rained. Good place for a few hours.
