Excellent location for exploring Hadrian’s wall area and other local attractions and for walking. We walked the wall to the sycamore gap; not to be missed. Staff were so polite and helpful. Parking was brilliant. Restaurant food was amazing.

The breakfast was great. The location excellent for the Hadrians wall walk. Stunning outlook along the river. The young ladies in the dining room were lovely. As was the woman on reception.

Before booking we was aware that there was no cooked breakfast and food was available locally (over the way!). However what was offered was cereals and yoghurts with juice and fresh milk.
What we wasn’t made aware of was that there was a little shop that stocked microwave meals etc.
the room was better than expected. Had best night sleep there.
No blackout curtains (personal preference not for everyone).
